I’m not sure on this, but it would make sense if AED was setting up Claire’s escape with the Haitian. Their story for the escape plan is that AED just found out about her power, and that he was bringing her in when the Haitian took her. AED has to make this look legit by calling in his boss, since that’s what he would have done if he really had just found out, and was still a 100% company man.
We’ve found the rogue android.
Right, but I was thinking that he’d try his best to simply contain it, and not let anyone else in the organization know what was happening.
Also, if you follow the comics, you’d know that Hana left the graveyard to go bust some child pornography ring in Vegas.
Loving this show! Hero fights. Secret organizations’ tag and release program. Cool stuff. This show has become the next great comic series. (A la Spawn/Image comics in 1995 or so)
Let me tell you about my mother.
WAG here. Who could do that? I’d expect… I dunno… A telekinetic? Could also slow down the bullets so that Claude would survive?.. Who could do that… Hrm… Name sounds like… Tyler…
(Or maybe someone he just ‘absorbed’, but my theory makes things more circular, and also makes Claude’s hatred of the whole ‘game’ make a bit more sense.)
Except that event took place fifteen years ago (-ish), and Sylar hadn’t learned TK from the first guy he brainhoovered.
Yeah, NAeD (Non-Ambiguously little-e evil Dad) certainly looked surprised when the first shot went off- at first, I thought that someone else had shot ol’ Doctor Where. I suspect there may’ve been implanted mental conditioning, or TK from someone else, which caused the shot.
Attention Lost- THIS is how you answer questions and keep the show interesting! Learn, guys.
As soon as he showed up with Matt at the paper company it would have been obvious to people in the organization that something was going on. Also, there was the very real possibility that the situation would get more out of control. The best solution was to call his boss and put his own spin on the incident.
Maybe the mutant that Claude was hiding was able to make HRG think that the gun went off and that Claude was hit.
I’m losing track of things. Does Hiro’s dad know that Hiro claims to have a power?
Why didn’t the Haitian mindwipe Eric Roberts?
Did I see in the preview (I never watch previews, but this one caught me before I turned the TiVo off):
I would speculate that the hero whom Claude helped hide would be that other “empath” (like Peter) that he’d indicated he knew of and had helped before. This show really likes dovetailing all its plotlines into each other, and this would allow them to further AED’s and Claude’s backstory in Peter’s plotline, since the two “empaths” would inevitably meet.
I’m guessing there’s no way he’d ever get close enough. Roberts didn’t seem like a trusting soul.
I’m boggled that there’s so little comment after last night’s episode, which was one of the finest hours of television I’ve seen in years. I’m tempted to send Tim Kring a fruit basket.
Discussion on a couple points in the preview
I’m surprised nobody commented earlier on bloody Simone standing there asking if they want to shoot her again, and man did I hope she was dead. Also, God I hope Hiro gets that sword this episode, his ass needs to stop dragging and do things
and aside from preview talk, it’s possible that the mutant that Claude was hiding could heal OTHER people, thus, Claude finds out he’s going to die at that bridge, sends his companion there ahead of time, and makes sure to fall over the edge of the bridge to where he can be healed away from Bennet’s sight. It is true Bennet looked quite surprised that he shot Claude the first time, but he seemed to get more of a grip on the second and third shots.
Next week should be pretty exciting too looking forward to it

I’m trying to remember, too. I do recall Hiro telling him that he was on a mission or something, but not whether he explicitly said he can bend time and space.
In the black-and-white flashback scenes, Mr. Bennet (have we been told his first name?) looked a lot like Henry Rollins. Don’t y’all think?
My guess on Claude’s survival? I think he could have been wearing a bullet-proof vest, with a few blood sacks to create the illusion he was shot. After all, he did know of the plan to shoot him. Has it been established what happens re: your powers if you die? Would an invisible man become visible after death?
That could explain why Hiro’s dad went to the trouble of kidnapping him, rather than just showing up. He could have done it this way as a test; if Hiro really had a power, he’d use it to try to escape.
I thought I heard AED say to The Haitian something along the lines of " make sure she keeps her safe" or close to that, which made me think the Haitian was taking Claire to her real mom.
I have a theory about that, but since it involves something from next week’s preview, I’ll spoiler it.
The super Claude had found and was protecting was Simone; he never did tell Bennet who it was, and it sure looked from the previews like she had a super power like Claire’s. Maybe she can also heal - she could’ve healed Claude and then started working as a nurse in the same building where Claude lurks on the roof, watching over her.
I can’t wait to hear more about Sulu’s connection to all of this.
I never really thought about it before, but now that you mention it, he does.
I also like him better with glasses.
