Heroes 11/13 - "7 Minutes to Midnight" - SPOILERS

Seven minutes in and I’m already loving the ep.

So I’m sort of confused, is cheerleader’s father a good guy then?

Open spoilers!

Was that Sylar (Siler) in the file? Is that Mohinder’s sister? Wha…? Who?
Ack! I need more time to digest this episode.

I think he’ll end up being greyish, which I think is how the show is presenting almost everyone at this point (as viewers desperately try to figure out who’s a ‘hero’ and who’ll use their powers for evil). He’s government or whatever, but his genuine love for his daughter will surely serve as a major plot point. And soon.

You know, it just occurred to me that the folks whose heads have been opened just might have been attacked by someone with a sword…

I liked the memory girl too.

Ack! What does that photo mean? Hiro’s been distracted from his real mission by the cute girl?

So EvilDad is not really evil after all.

What exactly is Eden’s power? Somewhere between persuasion and mind control?

Was that Peter beside Claire in the previews?

I missed bits here and there.

Re Ambiguously Evil Dad

It looks like Sylar killed poppa Suresh, not AED.

AED looks to be trying to save Claire’s life.

AED does seem to genuinely want to stop Sylar.

So far, the only actions we can definitively pin on him is abducting and examining heroes then wiping their memories of the event.

I don’t think we’ve quite seen the last of her yet.

Are you suggesting that Hiro might be behind the attacks? That Sylar is somehow Hiro? :dubious:

Aaargh! Don’ wanna wait until nex’ Monday! Wannit NOW!!

So, one and possibly three “new” supers. The waitress, Little Miss Know-It-All, Eden with apparently having some kind of Bene Gesserit Voice thing going on and the little boy who seems to be sending Mohinder dreams. Or, perhaps Mohinder is super and the “dreams” are some sort of projection? Although, I hope that’s not the case.

Ambiguously Evil Dad becomes more ambiguous.

Some possible timeline problems again. Telepacop said he lost two days but I thought it was established that he was missing just the one day. Also, how old is Claire supposed to be? Old enough to drive, which would usually mean at least 16, except that AED said tonight that they adopted her as a “baby” 14 years ago. Two seems kind of old to be called a “baby.” And apparently Claire’s bio-mom is dead? Assuming AED wasn’t lying, of course.

Did they initially show Miss Know-It-All’s birthday picture with just her, and then at the end Hiro was in it?

Yeah, she was alone in the picture right after they found her dead in the back room. The next view of the picture contained Hiro.

I thought she was supposed to be 18.

That’s the way I remembered it. So, perhaps he went back further than he intended.

What was with the radiation badges? I thought those things were like a one-use-only gadget. Once they went red, they stayed red. But after Nuke Dude was led away, Psychic Cop’s and That-Chick-From-That-Mars-Movie’s badges were back to green.

Okay, was the dream kid a boy or girl? I thought the face looked a bit feminine. I thought maybe that was Mohinder’s sister. But the file with the picture of the kid had the name S(something, Iler or Siler. If the kid is Siler(Sylar) then why are they showing Mohinder these things and how is Sylar killing people in America at the same time?
And I don’t think Dad is evil but he may use lsome not nice methods to get what he wants. So now I guess we have to just call him Mr. Bennett.

The kid’s name was Tyler, I think.

Some plot movement tonight, and blessedly Niki-free. Since Hiro and Sidekick are in one of the paintings I guess Hiro gets back (presuming his waitress-saving trip doesn’t result in a revised painting next time we see it). I don’t think thus far Eden’s got any power of behavior control thus far, except that perhaps she’s cute and sweet and whispers into guys ears that if they don’t get all smacked up and start painting, that guy in the hallway will send in some goons to rip out your nads. Though, based on what AED said to her about her past, I don’t think she was hired on the strength of her resume.

NO! Nissan Versa! Thou hast forsaken me!

Hm. Hiro back in time six months, when she got the phrase book.
A: He’s going to get nookie.
B: He’s going to come back the long way and learn english.

The name on the Dreamy Kid’s file is SANJOG, Iyer. I assumed it was a boy but s/he is retty androgynous.

Couple more notes on Mohinder: one, he needs to hit the damn NO key on his dad’s computer so it can finish processing the code algorithm thingy and two, I love the shirt he was wearing.

I think they made it pretty clear she has some kind of power related to persuasion. She told Isaac that she knows what it’s like to have a superpower (or words to that effect) and when AED asked her to “convince” Isaac to take the heroin she reminded him that he’d promised she’d never have to do “that” again. Then he said that her way was the easy way, implying that if she didn’t do it, he’d basically use physical force to get the heroin into Isaac.

Agreed she’s a Bene Gesserit but I thought when she was saying she knew what it was like she meant she knew what it was like to be an addict. That better explains her reaction when Mr Bennet prepared the needle. She was upset that it would undo the work Isaac was doing to try to kick his addiction (which, actually though, was he really?).

I just really hope that not everyone turns out to have a Power. Particularily Eden.

How is a super memory going to help save the world? I don’t see Ken Jennings in the State Department.

I’m trying to remember if Eden ever used her power of persuasion on Mohinder. Did she whisper to him when he was in New York? Is that why he went back to India and started acting like he didn’t care about his father’s work?

Where did the cops get the name Sylar (or Syler or Siyer, or whatever it is) in the first place?

So do we think the child – S. Iyer – is a killer?

(We need a Lost-type questions thread.)
