“The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.”
The Democrats do still manage to offer up candidates that aren’t completely terrible, even if they’re not remotely ideal. For example, I can’t really get excited about a Warnock or a Fetterman, but when I look at their Republican opponents - and I mean really consider them on their merits or lack thereof, not just dismissing them because they’re Republicans - there’s no chance I’d want to risk Oz or Walker getting elected as one is nothing more than a lying carpetbagging snake oil salesman and the other is woefully unqualified and desperately needs mental health care.
(For the record, I can’t vote in either PA or GA but you get the idea. I’m definitely going with Demings over Rubio in Florida, but I actually like Demings and consider her sufficiently qualified, whereas Rubio has done nothing noteworthy for his constituents while in office beyond a recent bill on algae control.)
For some reason whenever I see Herschel walker on camera I can’t shake this feeling that I’m watching a comic relief black side kick caricature from an 80’s sitcom. I can’t quite place who he reminds me of, probably and amalgam of multiple characters, but I expect him to reach out and grab some fried chicken and watermelon. I suspect that this is how he managed to get the Republican nomination, he comes across as the non-threatening black guy who knows his place, even if he is running for Senate.
Certain hounds were bred to be independent, and their independence can lead them to be what their owner might consider “disobedient” or “stupid.” It’s just that the hound thinks it knows better. Lifetime owner of dachshunds – bred to be independent thinkers so they can make decisions while they’re underground after the badger.
OK, great, so it was a real badge! Open-and-shut case, there: Anyone flashing a real police badge who isn’t a police officer is impersonating an officer.
If they are also claiming to be law enforcement (as Walker is doing) it may even be a crime in Georgia, as far as I can tell.
A person who falsely holds himself out as a peace officer or other public officer or employee with intent to mislead another into believing that he is actually such officer commits the offense of impersonating an officer and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $1,000.00 or by imprisonment for not less than one nor more than five years, or both.
I object to that Power Rangers article. The person in the picture is clearly the Red Turbo Ranger, not the original Red Ranger. The Turbo Rangers didn’t have the Dinozords.
Walker continued with, “Because he may not know and I know many people that’s on insulin, and unless you have eating right, insulin is doing you no good.” Walker went on to say, “ You have to get food prices down and you got to get gas down so that they can go get insulin.”
Herschel Walker once had a thought, it died of loneliness committed suicide when it realized who’s brain it was in.
That’s an issue without solution. Anyone who’s unusual gets all the press. If that person is a candidate for office, they’ll be getting far more free publicity than their opponents. The same thing happened in 2016 with Trump.
