Herschel Walker (need I say more?)

Kerry is not part of their tribe anymore. He was not crazy enough for them.

And then they wonder why they keep losing

The plan is to either bribe the referees, change the rules of the game, or just steal the championship trophy after the game is over.

“The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.”

The Democrats do still manage to offer up candidates that aren’t completely terrible, even if they’re not remotely ideal. For example, I can’t really get excited about a Warnock or a Fetterman, but when I look at their Republican opponents - and I mean really consider them on their merits or lack thereof, not just dismissing them because they’re Republicans - there’s no chance I’d want to risk Oz or Walker getting elected as one is nothing more than a lying carpetbagging snake oil salesman and the other is woefully unqualified and desperately needs mental health care.

(For the record, I can’t vote in either PA or GA but you get the idea. I’m definitely going with Demings over Rubio in Florida, but I actually like Demings and consider her sufficiently qualified, whereas Rubio has done nothing noteworthy for his constituents while in office beyond a recent bill on algae control.)

For some reason whenever I see Herschel walker on camera I can’t shake this feeling that I’m watching a comic relief black side kick caricature from an 80’s sitcom. I can’t quite place who he reminds me of, probably and amalgam of multiple characters, but I expect him to reach out and grab some fried chicken and watermelon. I suspect that this is how he managed to get the Republican nomination, he comes across as the non-threatening black guy who knows his place, even if he is running for Senate.

Certain hounds were bred to be independent, and their independence can lead them to be what their owner might consider “disobedient” or “stupid.” It’s just that the hound thinks it knows better. Lifetime owner of dachshunds – bred to be independent thinkers so they can make decisions while they’re underground after the badger.

It would probably be just like this, but instead of streaking, it’s, “Let’s storm the state capitol and take it over!”

WARNING: Clip not safe for work. It has a lot of Will Ferrell’s butt and some profanity.

I also think he’ll lose the election, but confine himself to whining about “racist” Democrats and the news media.

OK, great, so it was a real badge! Open-and-shut case, there: Anyone flashing a real police badge who isn’t a police officer is impersonating an officer.

If they are also claiming to be law enforcement (as Walker is doing) it may even be a crime in Georgia, as far as I can tell.

A person who falsely holds himself out as a peace officer or other public officer or employee with intent to mislead another into believing that he is actually such officer commits the offense of impersonating an officer and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $1,000.00 or by imprisonment for not less than one nor more than five years, or both.

Bravo.

Herschel doesn’t think insulin is as important as eating right and would have voted against the Inflation Reduction Act.

I object to that Power Rangers article. The person in the picture is clearly the Red Turbo Ranger, not the original Red Ranger. The Turbo Rangers didn’t have the Dinozords.

Fuck, why do I know that?

Walker continued with, “Because he may not know and I know many people that’s on insulin, and unless you have eating right, insulin is doing you no good.” Walker went on to say, “ You have to get food prices down and you got to get gas down so that they can go get insulin.”

Herschel Walker once had a thought, it died of loneliness committed suicide when it realized who’s brain it was in.

It was not an “article”. I looked at the link and saw “Borowitz”. He is their resident satyrist.

And I find it troubling how much exposure Herschel is getting. He is the one being talked about. Raphael is some guy. This is not a good thing.

That’s an issue without solution. Anyone who’s unusual gets all the press. If that person is a candidate for office, they’ll be getting far more free publicity than their opponents. The same thing happened in 2016 with Trump.

I’m glad someone else also recognized that, and also that I wasn’t the first to say it.

Because you’re cool!

Come on, do you really think, after everything else he’s gotten wrong, that Herschel Walker would get this right?

I hate to make fun of someone who’s probably suffered some head trauma, but he’s just such a stooge and doesn’t see it.

And this right here makes you more qualified than Walker.

It isn’t weird if everybody does it:

The dumbing down of America continues unabated.
