For what it’s worth, I’d actually noticed the second post you linked. What actually bothers me about it is that people bitch and moan that Evil Captor is a one-note charlie about bondage etc. and yet when he makes a serious post that makes no mention of the subject, it’s thrown in his face.
What’s worse than Evil Captor hijacking threads with bondage related commentary? Other people hijacking threads with comments about Evil Captor constantly hijacking threads with bondage related commentary.

There are no restrictions on my posting. I was reinstated without conditions. The reason I’ve never responded to inquiries about this before is because it’s none of anyone’s business. This thread makes it clear, however, that people can get pretty enamored of their assumptions. This is the last I will ever post on this subject.
As far as “fighting my own battles,” please. It ain’t my battle. If someone wants to expose their total lameness by proving they got nothin in their arsenal beyond, basically “Um, well, yeah but, nice hair!” why should I rise to the bait? How is “yeah wull Showgirls is teh suxxor” in a non-*Showgirls *thread worthy of any kind of response at all? The kind of “yeah wull your mom’s fat” shit that the OP addresses is one of my personal peeves around here (except I like how it exposes the real losers), but for obvious reasons I didn’t feel it would be very productive if I opened such a topic myself.

Thank you, EE! I see it all over the place but never enough times in a single thread to justify responding to it there. Bugs the hell out of me. Of course, the original complaints against EC bugged the hell out of me, too, because they seemed really, really petty.
Now that this has been shown to be a lie, or a gross misunderstanding on your part, how about you go get fucked? If they’re tired of it, they can open the Pit thread themselves. If they’re more mature than that, like lissener seems to be, then they can ignore it.

Yeah, it’s old. If you want to call it on him in a thread that he started about it, fine, do it. But the threads I see this happening in, he’s making valid points about other subjects. Leave it out, huh? We all get it. You’re “squicked out.” Move on.
On to more important issues:

The reason I brought it up was I found his generalizations about Muslims being misogynistic rather hypocritical, when he has made some rather disturbing remarks of his own in the past.
I felt it was relevant in this instance.
To answer the last bit first, Ensign was formerly the artist known as cthiax. Which, by the way, I like the name change. It’s so cool.
Now to the remainder… this certainly isn’t to defend the behavior of those who participate in this constant dead horse flogging joke, but perhaps to add one more piece of perspective. I do believe I teased EC once, during his Pit thread, but only because I thought he was taking it all so well and seemed to get a kick out of being ribbed then. After that, I’ve let another animal lay sleeping. However, the plethora we’ve been seeing is undoubtedly cumulative and a percentage are probably members who’ve only done it once or seldom.
I’ve never hardly interacted with lissener at all, since we don’t likely hang out in the same fora, but with the jibes aimed at him, they come across as more pointed. Those we could all do without. Some of the rest might just think that we’re all in this together and it’s become board fodder (like pie, 20 minutes, fucko off, etc.) to roundly use anytime you wish to play with EC.
Now that it’s been brought to the fore though, here’s hoping that the Dopers that are participating in this consistently, will reconsider. Can’t imagine that either is having much fun at it being brought up over and over again.

I have rattled [b[lissener**'s cage once (maybe twice, I forget) in what I hoped at the time came off as gentle teasing as opposed to stick-poking and have been admonished off-board to knock it off, the reason being he wasn’t allowed to respond. If that’s not the case and he is allowed to respond, then I kind of want an apology for the admonishment.
As for Evil Captor, I have no sympathy. He is insistent on injecting his interest in bondage into completely unrelated threads (e.g. he posted in a recent thread in CS just so he could mention Sheryl Lee tied to a bed in a movie) and it’s tiresome. I wouldn’t mind for one moment if he were instructed that he was barred from even mentioning bondage for an extended period of time because it’s tiresome. And I have no doubt that he is yet again lapping up the attention being paid to him and his fetish in this thread.
Put it like this, Otto (And this is no way my opinion of you, so please take it with the grain of salt intended). It’d be like me coming in at this point and saying “You’re one to talk about one-trick-ponies, poker loser.”
