Hey, it's my 42nd birthday!

Miscellaneous and Personal Stuff I Must Share

Not a notable round-number birthday or anything, and I don’t feel any older, but there it is: I turn 42 today, Sept. 1. A Virgo, I share a birthday with Lily Tomlin, Rocky Marciano, Ann Richards, and Gloria Estefan. The Great Fire of London, Sherman capturing Atlanta, the Germans invading Poland and starting World War II, Robert Ballard finding the Titanic, aaaaand I was born. A mixed bag, to say the least.

No big plans. Lunch with some friends, gifties with my wife and three boys after work, and a quiet dinner at home. Well, as quiet as it ever is with the boys! Maybe go to a late show; “V for Vendetta” is being shown by a nearby college film society.

Happy Birthday! I remember this day in 1964…first week of first grade. In a few more years I could have been your babysitter! Well, if you’d lived closer, that is. Get a sitter for those boys and eat out tonight! There was a great new place in the Plain Dealer yesterday…but I can’t remember the name. Oh well, have a great day!
