Assuming, of course, that the ladies aren’t watching it, too. I’m not adverse to sports, just football - it’s so completely not interesting to me. Sure, the guys all wear nice, tight pants, and they are mostly some studly looking guys, but there’s not much action - just a whole lot of standing around, two seconds of falling down, and then standing around again. Yawn.
So, what are all y’all doing?
Oh, guys not watching the Big Game are welcome too, of course. We might start talking about studly guys, though.
I’m cooking a nice Sunday dinner - braised lamb shanks in a red wine sauce. The house is smelling FANTASTIC!
I’m also leafing through Fine Cooking magazines and trying to find inspiration for my next nice home cooked meal. Any suggestions?
I could not possibly care less about the superbowl, even if I gave it my best effort. My husband however cares even less than me. He is researching air fare for his upcoming graduate school interviews and eating an almond butter and jelly rice-cake sandwich. shudder
Og help me, I just finished playing DDR Supernova after editing a resumé and cover letter for a possible promotion. I am seriously thinking about spending the remainder of my evening playing Kingdom Hearts II. I look forward to work tomorrow, not only for the possibility of a major promotion, but also because I left Lord of the Flies on my desk at work and was REALLY looking forward to finishing that this weekend.
I am also thinking grapefruit sounds good for my immediate future.
Simple pleasures and all that.
I’m a dood, and I’m going over another male’s friend’s house tonight. But not to watch the superbowl, just to watch some movies have some beers and some laughs. My wife is just gonna chill with the kids tonight. It’d be funny if she ended up watching the game.
Sports = lame. Zzzzzzzzz.
Good luck on the promotion Olives! And Lord of The Flies rocks.
I’m spending the day doing laundry and cooking for the week. I just packaged up a bunch of spare ribs I did overnight in the crockpot, and now I have a meatloaf baking. Two big batches of Chex-Mix have been made for my debaters, and there is a batch of stew getting prepped for the crockpot tonight.
I have managed to go years without watching pro football. Wake me when Spring Training starts.
Oh yeah, the historical perspective. Well, I’m sure the highlights will be on tv once or twice in the coming days.
Lots of cooking going on. I might have to try a little of that. Maybe baking - I’ve perfected my chocolate chip/oatmeal/coconut cookies, and now I’m branching into other types of cookies.
I’m expanding the bibliography for my project (hopefully I can hone in on a topic sometime before spring quarter starts) and rewriting a paper. I’m making enchiladas later, and I may also bake. Oh and I have to disinfect the litter boxes, which is vastly more entertaining to me than pro football.
I actually need to figure out how the new software for my PDA works, so I can make grocery lists on it. I also need to learn how to plan meals for one in advance. I’d like to be a more efficient shopper and cook. Also eat better and bruise less.
I’ve got some chicken marinating for dinner (which I will be starting soon) and after dinner I’ll be sorting the laundry I just took out of the dryer. I’m also watching the first season of Lovejoy on DVD.
I’ve done a pile of laundry, taken a long nap, and done some desultory work on the transcript that’s due tomorrow. Oh, and I’ve knit a row or two, but I couldn’t really work up the energy for it.
I cleaned the bathroom and washed some dishes earlier and now I am looking at job postings and eating leftover chinese food. Here in a bit the roommate and I will start the Sex and the City marathon. Talk about studly guys! Mr Big, Smith, Dr Robert Leeds, Aidan, etc. It will be a good night.
I just got home from work. Hubby is cooking dinner and watching the game at the same time. I hope he doesn’t burn anything. i will be playing games and surfing to while away the time.
