What are you doing instead of watching the Super Bowl?

I hate football. I get enough of all sports just listening to my boyfriend talk about work (he’s an engineer for a sports cable station). He also gets enough sports at work.

So, we’re avoiding football today.

We already determined that there’s nothing on TV. The best thing we found was the movie Major League (never gets old).

Since that ended, we’ve been watching Red Green 2000 season. He’s playing Star Trek Online and I’m playing Diablo 2.

Later on, if we finish Red Green, we plan to watch Battlestar Galactica (the good one), which was my first pick. I saw an episode on Retro TV last night and I’ve been suffering withdrawl ever since.

What are you doing with your Sunday night if you’re not watching “The Big Game ”?

I just got through doing a bunch of housecleaning, then I sat down and ate a salad. I’m fixing to go load the dishwasher and fold some clothes which are in the dryer.

Next I’m going to organize some stuff in my office and create a task list from my project managment file. Hopefully I can then get caught up on my “to-do” list, work-wise.

Somewhere in there I’m going to get a piece of apple pie with ice cream on it.

Watching the Puppy Bowl.

Right now I’m listening to my husband, Derek Trucks, play the guitar while I read a full day’s worth at Thing-a-Day.

When I’m done with that, I’ll watch an Eddie Izzard DVD and do some knitting.

Su-per Bowl? What’s that? Some sort of game?

Can’t stand sports either. Daughter had on the Puppy Bowl, and now I’m playing with my son and teaching him about 3 dimensions by 3D-modeling Mario’s head in Cinema4D. I’m also trying to explain to him the physics of time and space.

While posting here too. Weird night.

You put a Super Salad in it.

Was the Stupid Bowl today?, meh…

I spent the afternoon at the range, launching small bits of lead at high speed at innocent, defenceless paper targets, then drove home and handloaded some more ammo for next Sunday’s range trip

Now I’m watching something more entertaining and engaging and far more intelligent than watching a bunch of boys beating each other up so they can play with a ball, I’m watching animation…

Yes, I’m not a fan of team sports, especially football, how could you tell?

There was a hockey game on, talked to landlord about new washer/drier (next week yay!) and housework (like NinetyWt).

Too cold to go out :frowning:

We were watching the Cocteau Beauty and the Beast until Netflix laid an egg, probably because of some damned football thing with the internet.

I haven’t actually watched the Super Bowl in 29 years. Even that was a fluke – I got out of the habit when I worked for Spencer Gifts in the late 70s and they always did inventory on Super Bowl Sunday – after the mall closed.

In any case, this year we watched the final episodes of I, Claudius on DVD. Now I’m on the Dope before working on a short story.

Watching Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy(the 2005 one).

It’s good, but not perfect.

I watched The Graduate, for the very first time. I liked it!

Letting my week-old daughter sleep on my stomach. She’s been having bad gas pains, and she needed the sleep.

We are recording the Super Bowl so we an zip-zip through the game and watch the commercials later.

I finished shooting a video assignment for school, then caught up on my nappin’.

I saw the Saints win, but missed The Who’s halftime (no big woop for me).

I Love Lucy marathon.

I saw Avatar, surfed the Net, did some minor chores around the house, Skyped with my daughter in college and am now contemplating either a movie or bad TV…

I am glad the Saints won, though. I don’t follow (or care about ) football, but I like to root for underdogs.

I am drinking wine and reading message boards

We’re on to Battlestar now.

I also washed half my living room floor.

I gave the puppies knotted, frozen dishrags. Why must they fight over them? They each have their own!!

I am glad the Saints won though. My sister’s boyfriend is a big Saints and Kyle Busch fan. He lives in the very upper part of NY and is surrounded by Giants and Patriots fans, Yankees and Red Sox fans, and Jimmie Johnson and Jr. fans. He never gets to bask in the glory of his team/driver so he should have a good day at work tomorrow. I’m happy for him. My sister is a Pats fan so she usually spends the whole season gloating in front of him.
