So it seems that Oklahoma’s two Senators both will vote no on any disaster relief that isn’t matched by cuts elsewhere. What a pair! “Don’t help out my constituents unless you can screw others”. I think this might be a good time for the feds to butt out and say “you’re on your own.”

I don’t know why I watch 24 hours channels. Lately all they do is just make me sick. Just was watching CNN and their reporter was interviewing a woman whose child was still missing. The poor thing could barely talk and they’re sitting there asking her what’s his name, where was he, when did you last see him. Grow a fucking heart, god damn. I mean, seriously, don’t these reporters realize how heartless they’re acting?
No. It’s not right to punish citizens just because their elected representatives are being douchebags.
I agree in principle, but how else are they going to stop returning douchebags to Congress unless they feel the consequence of electing douchebags?
Some other way. Not all of those people voted for the douchebags in question, and not all of the ones who did support their actions in this situation. Besides which, it is morally and ethically wrong to deny support to people in need simply because a couple of politicians are being jackasses.

Is it only me that wonders about the math there in Oklahoma. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very happy that they revised the death estimate downward by so much. But last night they were confirming 51 dead and possibly up to 90. Now they are at 24. I know that they said that they mistakenly counted some of the people twice, but even if they counted everyone twice, that’s only 48, which means that they counted some people 3 x or that they can’t count. Again, very happy that there were fewer casualties than previously thought, but shouldn’t confirmed mean confirmed?

News conf just said part of the issue is some local funeral homes were used for the dead and not just the city morgue because of travel issues with debris blocked roads. So, communication errors occurred.
Weather Channel & CNN were just saying they’re finding light debris that originated from Moore up to 100 miles away in Tulsa.
