I’m afraid you misquoted yourself. You did not comment on the mod’s decision. Let us diagram your sentence in order to determine its subject and object. You wrote: “The closing was entirely justified.” You used a copula. You defined the closing as justified. You did not even mention a moderator. You simply passed judgment on the thread and its worthiness to stay open for other sleepy people to commiserate. Meanwhile, each Monday a thread is opened for people just waking up to talk. Why is a thread that is simply the opposite of that not “justified”? It is your assessment; you should defend it — not push the blame over to a mod, as though your posts were just whispers from the bushes. Your tone came across to me as an old British fop during the American Revolution, sitting on his porch, barking orders at his servants, and complaining about the fly population while a battle rages in a nearby field.
How is a comment that a closing was justified not an opinion on the mod decision, for all your rhetoric? And for that matter how is your insistence that this is junior modding not junior modding in itself?
This way lies madness. Must I really preface everything with “in my opinion”?

Please leave determination of junior modding to the mods.

In directing the question to a mod, Colibri, I believe that is exactly what I did. I would be interested in hearing your reasoning that states that asking a mod is not leaving determination to the mod.
You directed your question to samclem, not me. And you didn’t ask sam if aldiboronti was junior modding, you asked him why he didn’t cite him for junior modding, implying that the offense was self evident. In any case, you well know that if you have a problem with someone else’s post, the first recourse is to report it and let the moderators make the determination. If there was no response, or the response was negative, then you would be justified in asking in ATMB.

Your right, of course. I do well know the ordinary protocols. I’ve also seen many exceptions. But there’s no point in appealing or arguing since your collective mind is made up. It won’t be the first time that a technicality has allowed a user to slip one by — in this case, to make a pronouncement that closing a thread was “entirely justified”.
But then again, who cares. Merry Christmas!
