Sorry to know you are not coming. This always happens in short notice meets in Phoenix, about 10 years ago it was just me and lel.

But we will have once again one of the records for the smallest doepefest at 12:00 today.

It has probably been ten years since I was last at a Dopefest. It has also probably been ten years since I was mentioned on the Dope.

Current status: unlikely, but if I’m not as insanely busy as I have been lately, I can handle bookstores.

I think you were the first doper I ever met.
I remember we met at a mall or something like that. And you had a fun topic printed out for me to read, because back during my first year here, I used to print them out and read them at home rather than read them online (I didn’t have time to read the topics (with how long they’d get) back then).

I think so, and I’m pretty sure you weren’t the last Doper I met, but I can’t recall attending any Doper gatherings since 2004 or so. One interesting thing I’ve learned in the intervening years is that you can easily recognize people at age 30 or 35 if you haven’t seen them since they were 12.

1. I only found it by accident and I think there’s a possibility someone else in the area might see it, but not if it’s on the third page. (Truly a public-service minded type, me.)

The scales are tipping, ponderously slowly, toward a yes. I should know for sure in a couple days. But if you wanted to work on an excuse not to have to be in a room with me, this would be a good time to start thinking of something.

Yes, the place where we will meet will be the bar still, as there will not be too much of a crowd I did not think that we could reserve the meet area. However, I’m still looking to get a deal for a small group in the restaurant that is just in the same building. Need to know now if anyone coming will also order some food, because as usual we will all chip in for our meals but I need to find our numbers to see if we can get a discount.
