HGH observation

Is it just me, or does Slug’s cartoon for the human growth hormone article (http://www.straightdope.com/columns/040709.html ) bear a suspicious resemblance to Krusty the Klown?

  1. I note that “he’s got little feet like all good-hearted people.”

  2. The ease of the heart springing from the chest might be due to his pacemaker operation scar tissue being weak.

  3. But there is no sign of pacemaker wires.

  4. Nor do I detect a superfluous third nipple.

“Answer not clear, ask again later.”

I wouldn’t have said Krusty (he never had muscles like that,) but the dark nose and the frizzed out hair sure do look clownish. I couldn’t figure out the liquid under the guy’s knee, but a lot of Slug’s people are inexplicably leaking something.

Well, I don’t know from Krusty, but I think the idea of the hair and moustache was that the guy is an elderly fellow. The leaking stuff has me puzzled, though. At least, I hope it has me puzzled. I hope it isn’t just that the guy is in need of adult diapers.

That occurred to me, too, but it really looks like the fluid is coming from his knee. I was expecting to see in the article something about one of the side effects being excessive sweating, but none such.

Perhaps it cures water on the knee?

Maybe he needed the pacemaker after his heart flew out of his chest due to HGH overdose. Might explain the hair too.

Since this is a comment on one of Cecil’s Columns and not on a Staff Report, I’m moving it to the appropriate forum.
