This seems like a very big Forum and Im not sure if introductions are commonplace here but…
My name is Chris and so far I am very impressed with the disscusion Ive had the pleasure of reading here so far. I think I will be frequenting this site quite a bit. I come from another Message Board that is inherently music related and cannot always get the discussion there that I believe I will here without the moderator deeming the thread geting to controversial. So, hello. I look foreward to meeting all of you…
You want MPSIMS for this, MC (yet another MC . . . ). GQ (General Questions) is reserved for questions, not introductions.
Then you have IMHO, which is for survey-type material, and GD (Great Debates), which is used for — you guess it — debates (and witnessing). Then you have ATMB, which is for questions about the message board. And two related fora, comments on cecil and comments on mailbag questions.
And lastly, you have the Pit. Don’t go in there for a while yet . . . figure out the SDMB for yourself, then go in when you feel the urge. It can get ugly.
Welcome to the SDMB! You’ll most likely find this in MPSIMS by morning-time.
Good group of folks here. Wander about and you’ll find something of interest. Check out ATMB (current and past posting, and you’ll find a lot of answers there, too). Or just ask.
Rochester, eh? Lived there for awhile. Home of the Great Yellow Father! (Nice Peregrine Falcon website this year - those babies grew fast! I can’t wait to see next year’s brood!) I also miss the concerts at Eastman (RPO and student concerts). And the Rochester Brew Pub.
Damn. Now I’m sorta homesick.

If we learned the habit, surely he will too. Plus, we’re doing him a favour. We keep this thread in the first ten and lots of people will continue to read it!
BTW, MC, I strongly encourage you to check out Crunchy Frog’s thread. He’s awfully nice to newbies.
<snort>
Nice covert voice. Why’d it come out sounding like Bullwinkle, though?
I still consider myself a newbie, but I’m slowly getting used to it. I’ve found out that this site is the most enjoyable place to waste my time. It’s great, although it might hamper my college education…
