My guess is that the usual gang of hooligans stole a car (as they’re wont to do), drove it around for a while, parked it across the street and set it on fire. This happens every couple of months or so around here, usually during the school holidays.
Someone must have called the fire department during the initial blaze, as they arrived roughly 20 seconds after the gas tank went WHOOMPH. Either that, or their response time is amazing. They’ve sprayed it with foam, and the fire’s out now. Two buses blocked the traffic in either direction prior to the explosion (and probably called the FD), so apart from some unpleasant smoke and odor and the total destruction of the car itself, no real damage to anything else that I can tell. I’ll go look in the morning when it’s light out.
But hey! I actually hijacked the hijack thread!

The Canucks’ anthem singer, Mark Donnelly, reminds me of Spoz for some reason. They kinda look similar… or maybe it’s just the long hair and general build. I don’t know…
