Hi Mom,
It’s me your son. I know your listening because you always listened. Even when no one else listened, you did. You made me feel special. You made sure of that, by telling me I was special many times.
And as I grew up under your nurturing and watchful care I blossomed because of you.
Only God in his heaven knows how you came to possess so much love and patience.
The only thing that I know for sure is, I ‘m passing it on mom. Both of your grandsons are now the recipients of all that you taught me and all the morally good things you had to offer while you were on this earth and their hearts now reflect that.
There is no greater legacy.
I miss you mom, but when the pain becomes great I look in the eyes of my two boys and there you are.
So it is with great remembrance and love that I share this verse written by me for you and other moms for this coming Mothers day.
Come Home
We played too long among the ‘simmon trees
As the summer sun sank in an orange sky
All elbows, legs and dirty knees
So daring we could fly
With wonderment and boyish joy, we pushed the bounds of fate
Till a mother’s voice broke the evening’s play
Come home!
Come home and be safe.
Happy Mother’s day mom, I love you, I know dad is there so tell him I love him too.
Your Son
