I also wish I had told my Mom how much I loved her, back when I had the chance. I don’t think I was a very good communicator. 
Today I’m also thinking about my first Mother-in-Law, an exceptional lady whom I loved very much. Happy Mother’s Day, Ruby.

If you managed to produce a decent child, IMO that is reward enough (though I wouldn’t turn down a gift and a trip to the all-you-can-eat buffet). If your kid turned out not so good (through no fault of your own), do something nice for yourself!
