At least she doesn’t live in Iowa, where the fifth columnists are building landing strips for gay Martians! I swear to God!

I like you Stuart. You’re not like the other people here in the trailer park.

They must really hate the gay there in OK (ironic since the only reason most of us know the state exists is due to musical theater).

Nonsense. Everyone knows Carnegie, Oklahoma, home of the Carnegie Canna Festival.
*"Carnegie is a town in Caddo County.
The community was named for Andrew Carnegie, industrialist and philanthropist.
The latitude of Carnegie is 35.103N. The longitude is -98.603W.
It is in the Central Standard time zone. Elevation is 1,309 feet."*
This year’s festival will be Sept. 28. There will be funnel cakes.

Just last week, I bewildered a (New York native) friend by saying “I wish I could live in Texas, it’s so cosmopolitan and progressive.” Never thought I’d say that, either.

It depends on were in Texas. I am 100 miles from the OK boarder. I have never seen so much as a gay pride bumper sticker.
I moved from Atlanta which is surronded by a highway perimeter, 285, a joke there is “Once your outside 285 your back in Georgia.”

Good point. But at least Texas and Georgia have cities like that. Oklahoma City has…about a thousand raving assholes with nothing better to do on a Wednesday, judging from the news.
I find it completely unfathomable that people from freaking Oklahoma City could possibly think that gays are a bigger threat to America than terrorists. I mean, I understand that religious views are frequently irrational and all, but for some reason this just bugs the hell out of me.
McVeigh was a fag…

So, no Oklahomo puns?

How about “It’s OK to be gay!”
Or “Gay is OK!”

Especially when touring the Panhandle!

I’m pretty sure I saw a movie about rampant teenage lesbians, but I think they were also vampires.

They were. It was on Cinemax, I do believe. Late at night.
I wonder what good ole Sally thinks about what those “christian” straight folks were up to in Texas recently. I bet the spin on that would be bigger than the Eva Gabor Wig she wears…
