Hillary Swank and Chad Lowe have separated. Pity- she seems genuinely nice on interviews and the like.
Poor Chad- first he has a brother who’s a world famous pretty boy to overshadow him then he marries a woman who wins two Oscars while he’s still referenced as “the guy who used to play the boy with AIDS on Life Goes On”. I know how tough it was being the kid brother of two high school valedictorians- when it happens on a world famous level it’s gotta be rough.
It was obvious that it wasn’t going to last when she forgot to thank him in her first Oscar acceptance speech.
Unlike, say, Kirstie Alley, who thanked hubby Parker Stevenson “for the big one” in her Emmy acceptance speech.
Oh wait, they’re not together either. 
I had no idea he was Rob Lowe’s brother.
That is a shock. They seemed so happy together. And I thought that would be one marriage that would go the distance. For what its worth, Chad is quite the good actor, and his work on Life Goes On not to be trivilized.
Is this a trend or something? Next, we’ll be hearing of a break-up involving Courtney and David.

PS- Chad was indeed great on Life Goes On (even if it was a thoroughly unbelievable plotline- he had unprotected sex one time with an HIV+ girl and a year later she was dead and he had full blown AIDS [for an episode or two]- c’mon). However, it was (hard to believe) 13 years ago and it’s still his biggest role to date, which is odd considering that he’s talented and certainly not bad looking and has connections in the biz.
