This could be just the break the Trump campaign has been looking for!
- This is really all you’ve got? Weak.
- Got any private emails of your own that you wouldn’t want posted here for all to see? Mind if we comb through all of them then post them out of context?
Again, not critical of Hillary, is it?
If those sort of routine office things strike you as a major blow against Hillary, go for it. Make sure to use the word “Benghazi” a lot, too.
Again, you didn’t say you never posted anything critical about her, just that you never posted anything at all about her.
Again, you’re moving the goalposts.
What a weird defensive reaction from the liberals here. “Major blow”. “This is really all you’ve got”. Kneejerking much?
Does every post need to be something “major”? Can’t point some sad, pathetic, insecure emails from Hillary? Guess some have seriously thin skins here.
No, but then again, neither was the OP in this thread, so at least you’re consistent, if repetitive.
The emails are not “sad, pathetic or insecure.” In fact, many have pointed out that they seem fairly routine. And most of us are not particularly fond of Mrs. Clinton.
Where are the “sad, pathetic, insecure emails”?
But they make you appear a little sad, pathetic and insecure.
I’m mean these email get you pissed and we’re think skinned? Wha?
The lines you posted don’t look pathetic or insecure to me - did you start out not liking Hilary Clinton? Because I can (just about) see how you could read them in a bad light, but I think they’re pretty neutral, really.
The first seems to me to be saying “Is my diary free enough that I can go to this meeting? If not, who’s going instead of me?”, which is a reasonable question to ask whoever is in charge of her diary.
The second is saying “are you incompetent, or is there a problem elsewhere? Because there is clearly a problem somewhere.” Not insecure, pissed off at having wasted her time because someone else got something wrong. Seems normal enough to me, for busy people.
And the last looks to me like standard interview prep - what are the things that might come up in this interview that could be awkward, and what do we want to say if they do? I would imagine Hilary Clinton has quite often had to deal with unflattering comparisons to her predecessors, so this doesn’t seem to me to be at all a weird thing to worry about. It’s not her complaining that she doesn’t get enough time with the President, it’s her wanting to make sure she’s got a good answer to a potential question. I’d be surprised if everyone who does interviews doesn’t prep for potential pitfalls; this just looks like part of that process.
I’m a Republican …although as a centrist I generally am more positive about Hillary than most of the routine posters here. I don’t see knee jerk “she’s on my side” support. I see reasonable and realistic reading given the most likely context. I won’t say I don’t see some knees twitching though…
I can’t help but identify with Anaamika’s comments about Reeder on the other side of the aisle.
Do you have any? Do share.
I don’t know that they make Hillery look like anything one way or another. Lord knows I wouldn’t want to be judged by some of the more “Post-it Note” e-mails I’ve sent. It does give me another reason to question (or at least look into) the last few years of President Obama a little more and somewhat more critically. To appoint someone SoS at this stage in history and then seem to have, from her viewpoint, cut her out of the loop doesn’t look very good for him and the rest of the people around him. I’m curious now about just when and to whom those e-mails were sent. In context they could be totally nothing to anyone.
Hey guys, I found Hilary Clinton’s grocery list. Wow. The insecurity and the vanity-- it’s just sad and pathetic.
- Milk
- Bread
- Oranges
- Eggs
- Tomatoes
- Tuna
- Mayonnaise
- Cheerios
- Paper towels
I mean, seriously, is this the kind of leader that we want?
f you look at the emails in fuller context, as NPR does here, you will see that there is no implication of her being out of the loop or anything like that. In that story you will see strings of emails that give these snippets much better context, and reveal them as much more mundane and trivial.
This sort of out-of-context cherry-picking of quotes by the OP isn’t going to fool anyone into thinking that Secty Clinton is any of the things he claims (sad, pathetic or insecure), and even less so when they are seen in full. And I am one of those who hopes that she does not become president.
