I’m Turpentine and i have a whole bunch of pets now because people who don’t want theirs give them to me so now i have a ferret along with my turtles and rat and millipede.
I’ve recently been in the habit of posting inane comments and pleas for suggestions concerning my love life, but it’s a habit I’m trying to break, especially since posting about obese cavemen is much more important in the long run.
My hair used to be pink but I was forced to dye it back to a shade found in nature. I miss it.
I don’t drink beer but thanks for inviting me in anyway.
My beverage of choice is Kool-Aid, preferably blue.
Hi there, Chris here. Formally the poster known as chrisbar. I’m 24, female, and an OPS Admin Assistant (read: slave) for the grand State of Florida. My hobbies are computers, reading, roleplaying, and cats. I’m currently raising two furballs who are the only kids my husband and I plan to have for a long while. Nice to meet y’all.
Greetings and salutations one and all. Howdy to (deep breath) RobotArm, Silo, MikeG, h_thur, screech owl, Silver Fire, Rasa, Zyada, and SouthernStyle (exhale). Glad you all stopped in!
MikeG and Rasa – Fellow Pogues fans. Woohoo! SouthernStyle – I just checked the limericks thread. Looks like Spidey, vix, and I were the last to post. Who’s shirking now, buddy?
You have GOT to get more east than Minnesota. Maybe come to one of the lovely higher education institutes west of the Rockies? West of the Appalachians, even? Please? Pretty Please?
Vix: Now you see why I didn’t contribute to the limerick thread originally.
…oops, I had a purpose for posting, too bad I forgot it…
Rasa is a Sanskrit word; it means a lotta stuff: sap of life, mellow, fire… kinda like the French word “serviette”, it is multi-purpose. Sanskrit is kind of a hobby of mine.
I have 2 cats, a chatty blue-eyed lilac point Siamese that thinks she’s a dog and demands all my love and attention, and a black cat that is kinda standoffish. I live with my SO, and the cats are technically his, but they’ve adopted me.
I am 24, blond hair , green eyes. I live in Winnipeg and am currently employed as a “marketing administrator” what the means is that I am the junior-most person in the communications department. I am currenty working on a few novels, one of which is in the horror genre. I weigh in somewhere around 130lbs, and although I do not look out of shape, I feel out of shape. I love animals and actually spent a summer as a trail guide on a horse ranch. My goal is to live outside of the city with a hobby farm. I have a wonderful dog, who currently resides with my father in Saskatoon. He is a blind bearded colli named Farley. I also have a 24 pound tom cat named Thumper who also rocks. I am joining a running course to help get in shape and hopefully by next fall will be ready to run a mini-triathlon. I was in the army for four years, which most poeple have trouble believing after seeing me (army-type, what’s that?). I do have a picture on the people pages. Anything else, feel free to email me. poysyn@hotmail.com
Hi, I’m Lsura…because my handwriting is so bad that people used to think that I mispelled my own name. 27, red hair, blue eyes. I work as a corporate pigdog…I schmooze. Single, no kids, live alone here in Atlanta. Love margaritas, I do still smoke, though I keep quitting.
But I love my job, I love my friends, I’ll try just about anything, as long as it doesn’t involve heights and jumping off them.
Umm great to meet all of y’all. I’m feeling a little sickly today, so I can’t think of anything to say. I’m sure I will later though in the realms of fever dreams(I hate those a lot)
Hi, guys! My name is Louis and my last name begins with “B” so my user name hints at my wild imagination. I used to go by the name “Crystalguy” because I have been in the quartz crystal industry for 25 years or so. I gave it up because no one has ever heard of quartz crystals. Basically
I am a 60 year old gray-haired ex-hippy Volkswagen mechanic who is still wondering what happened to the 20 years I spent in a drug and alcohol induced haze. I hope I had fun because it sure cost me a lot.
Actually, I should introduce myself as “Marcie’s Husband” because being so is now my main interest in life.
Hi, I’m Greg. My last name is Duke, it’s what everyone called me through high school, college and grad school, so it’s what I’m called here.
I’m 6’2", 145 lbs., 27 years old, with dark hair and glasses. I’m married (but currently separated) to a Welsh woman named Siân. I’m originally from Montgomery, PA, but I’ve also lived in Indiana, Toronto, and Leeds in England, and I now live in Oxford in England. I’m a full-time grad student and a full-time database administrator in an Oxford college, which partially explains why I’m posting this at quarter to one AM UK time. I play cricket for a local club; I bowl off-spin.
And, frankly, that’s all I can be bothered to type right now. It’s late over on this side of the pond now!
I can’t seem to find the thread but I do remember once saying that you couldn’t turn me on with a light switch, or something to that effect. Get a clue, dude.
My name’s Mark, and I’m 28 with blue eyes & brown hair. I’m kind of a big dumb looking, deep voiced sort of guy(6’1",220#) who most people wouldn’t guess is a computer programmer, college graduate, reader & sometime poster to the SDMB!
Let’s see… I live in Dallas(well, really Plano if you care), grew up & lived until last year in SW Houston, went to Texas A&M and graduated with a BS in Computer Science. I work for the US subsidiary of the largest european helicopter manufacturer doing 4GL programming & analysis for our ERP package.
I’m single, but I have a date lined up for Tuesday, so keep your fingers crossed!
I like to mountain bike, work out, drink beer & hang out with friends.
