Hmm - is that a new purse or Doctor Manhattan's weiner?

I got onto the NY Times website and on the upper-left hand corner is this close-up photo.

I’m thinking “waitaminnit, why does the NYTimes have a photo of Doc Manhattan’s blue weiner on their front page?”

So I clicked on it - right?

Turns out I am taken to Marc Jacobs.com to look at their “Thompson” purse.

The link takes you to Jacob’s site and you see the whole purse and it makes more sense. But block out a close-up of the center leather strip and the clasp…and tell me that MJ isn’t a big-time fan of Jon Osterman!

Okay, maybe the Doc was dealing with a little shrinkage…but nothing a little fluffing of his intrinsic field couldn’t cure…

That’s a cute little bag.

So it was a sack, not a weiner?

Good lord - I didn’t even think to go there…

;)

Is the link safe for work?

Yup; it’s a purse.

Sir, I think we’ve clearly established that it’s a bag…that someone could buy and use to store the family jewels.

Come on, now, don’t be a weenie.

Are you telling me to sack up?

(I actually know a guy who uses that phrase vs. man up - “sometimes you’ve just gotta sack up and confront your boss…” ah yes, stupid guy talk…)

Such a suggestion would, frankly, be nuts.

This reminds me of a scene from “Corner Gas” - starting around 6:30.
