She appointed Brian Benjamin Lieutenant Governor on September 9, 2021. Seven months later:
But is that a comment on her, or on the general corruptness of NY politicians?
Or, to put it more seriously: did she have any way of knowing about his corruption at the time of appointment?
It makes her look like she has poor judgement.
This is an Upstater talking, but Benjamin is a New York City politician. Corruption is endemic in NYC and falls off proportionally with distance. Percentage of corruption Upstate: 6%. Percentage of corruption in NYC and environs: 120%.
Ugh. Not good news for her election campaign, to say the least.
