Dawnguard doesn’t interest me very much. I’ve never gotten into the vampire play stuff in any of the Elder Scrolls games. I teach teenagers who are all into the vampire gameplay and mods in Skyrim. It was smart of Bethesda to make some money off that sort of content. Maybe later I’ll give Vampirism a try, but adding more random vamp NPC action sounds like a bore/chore with how I play now, though I’m sure some mods out there level the annoying bits out.
@#@$$ They won’t stop!!!
After getting the complete Metro 2033, I already had the first, and BioShock, I said NO MORE!
Then I check today and they have Mass Effect. They almost had me, it doesn’t include the third game so I was able to resist.
I’m dead. I’ll never be able to stop. And there’s still a week to go.
I’ve been buying up some little indie games to tide me over, but the only big game I’m after is Saints Row 4, which I’m waiting for a daily deal for.
And there it is! Saints Row 4 for £7.50!
Woo-hoo!
I love no. 3. Hands down the best of its breed.
Holy crap.
Both Castle Crashers and Battleblock Theater are for sale for: $2.49 total.
Best deal of the sale by a mile. Buy it and laugh at those of us who missed it.
If you played the first game, it’s more of the same, with better graphics.
If you didn’t, it’s a third-person, mostly linear, arcade beat 'em up with RPG elements.
I found it to be just okay. It never really grabbed me.
I don’t know if this is a glitch or not, but you get BOTH BattleBlock Theater and Castle Crashers for 2.47 here.
Battleblock Theater alone costs 3.75 or so…so either way, this is a pretty good deal.
Full credit to Idle. He is the one who told me of the deal.
Seriously, folks, but that deal. It’s insane.
Not a glitch. The developer (Behemoth) sent out an email saying it was at its lowest price yet and even lower in the bundle.
So you can buy it guilt free (if that’s the sort of thing that would stop you
)
Dude, I don’t even care if that is a glitch. That would be their error and I would proceed.
It is one of the best deals ever offered on a Steam sale.
I loved it. I have about 74 hours on it and played most of it twice. The first one I really liked, but didn’t really love. It’s a really good game, but two was way better, I thought.
I like describing it as a mix of Zelda games (OoT and MM) and the Prince of Persia games.
if you liked both those series, you’ll probably like Darksiders 2.
Darksiders 2 is awesome. Buy it.
Indeed, it is like Zelda and Prince of Persia combined. Awesome.
Dawnguard adds more cool Dwemer content and gives you a chance to meet a non-corrupted Falmer.
I looked at that mod a while back, and there were apparently issues with how it handled the running away.
I agree all three DLC are great, I was just warning him that it’s not 100% better than the stock game. Dragonborn and Dawnguard also have a couple of annoyances that only occur after you’ve started those questlines:
In Dawnguard you gain a very well fleshed out companion who is a bit too headstrong at times - sometimes you want her to just stay put and not follow you, and she’s not inclined to listen.
In Dragonborn, once you start the quest the big bad starts stealing some of your dragon kills - even back on the mainland. You get the souls back once you kill him, but if you’re trying to unlock new shouts, it will slow you down.
It’s not as bad as the “Run for Your Lives” dragon mod. So far “When Vampires Attack” hasn’t made people hide inside their houses when there’s been an attack in a completely different city.
And yes, I agree with your Dawnguard spoiler. I hate that person more than Lydia and that’s saying a lot.
Scribblenauts Unmasked is $4.99 for the next 58 minutes…

I am sworn to carry your burdens. I am sworn to carry your burdens. I am sworn to carry your burdens. I am sworn to carry your burdens. I am sworn to carry your burdens. I am sworn to carry your burdens. I am sworn to carry your burdens. I am sworn to carry your burdens. I am sworn to carry your burdens. I am sworn to carry your burdens.
