Here is a very nice, complete list of current television shows that are color coded as to their chances of remaining on the air. This is from the Hollywood Reporter - they usually have a good read on the facts from insiders.
As suggested, you might want to bookmark this page and check in to see how your favorite (or least favorite) show is doing and if it will stay on the air.
Shockingly, HANK looks like it might be on the way out - gee, who saw that coming?!
Thank you for posting this. Most interesting! Also, somewhat encouraging to see that my flawed yet still beloved Heroes is for the minute hanging on in there.
Huh. Am I the only one surprised that 'Til Death is even still on the air?
I’ve been watching The Forgotten because I can’t find anything else to watch, but that show is just dumb. Last night, Alex (Christian Slater) tosses a cell phone to a police officer and tells her to call the Ohio police and trace a number. The Ohio police? Does Ohio only have one police department?
How is Law & Order endangered? I thought it was doing much better since the last cast shakeup. I almost don’t think NBC has the balls to cancel or else Dick Wolf will come to their offices and set up the perfect murder on each one (lord knows he’s killed enough in enough different ways over the years).
The only one that is endangered that I watch is *Eastwick *- but I watch it for the hot women and am not surprised that it isn’t doing well.
Parks And Recration is horribleand only has the lovely Rashida Jones to recommend it. NBC in general blows donkey dick, so I doubt that they will replace it with anything good.
Parks & Rec gets my vote for “Most Improved” in its second season… I’ll agree that it wasn’t so hot last year, but every episode this year has been really, really funny. It’s starting to take on an identity of its own, distancing itself from The Office a bit. I hope it gets a chance to find an audience.
Well, we have SLED, the South (Carolina) Law Enforcement Division. I don’t know if you’d call them for that, but you could say that they’re the South Carolina police.
I agree that it’s much better this season. Last week’s episodes involving the Venezuelan sister city delegation and the episode about the beauty pageant were particularly good.
Yeah, I hope it sticks around because it’s definitely gotten better. It’s just like how the first season of the Office was basically the same thing as the UK version and then it the second season it started to become it’s own show.
Actually, NBC didn’t want to pick up Law & Order at all, due to the ratings slipping. However, Law & Order:SVU is doing very well - so Dick Wolf played hardball and would only allow them to keep SVU if they also kept Law & Order.
NBC bit the bullet and took both series, but now I think they might be in a better position to renegotiate their deal.
I completely agree. The difference is like night and day, and seems to be in large part due to Amy Poehler embracing her innate silliness rather than trying to play it straight.
I also think it helps that they’ve abandoned The Pit as the central plot device. Last season, every episode had something to do with the Pit, so it hamstrung the writers to try to create this larger story arc that was only incidental. Now, they’re simply playing with the character dynamics and that’s made everything looser and more enjoyable.
