Homeland-Anybody still watching

What do you think of the current season?

Cary doesn’t cry in every episode this year so there’s that. Maybe the drugs are working. Sometimes its borderline ridiculous. Like the guy waltzing into the hospital and using the oldest trick in the book to get the picture while cops are everywhere. The writers do a pretty good job keeping up with the current state of things. The fake news angle has a ring of truth to it. Its better than most TV so we’ll keep watching and hoping justice is served.

We watched the first two seasons, which were terrific, then ditched our premium package when we realized that it was about the only thing we we’re watching on the premium channels. To be honest, I had no idea it was still on.

I’m guessing that “picture taking man” and the woman who seems to have orchestrated the murder of General T-Bag are both foreign agents.

I lost interest when Quinn went away.

I think I missed something. What’s the “picture taking man” reference? In a hospital?

Yep, currently season 7 and there will be a final, eighth season. But you saw the best of it. The first two seasons qualify as great. Some of it since then has been very, very good. I think we all miss Brody. And Quinn. Jeez, they killed all the British actors (David Harewood too.)

ETA: Linus Roache (David Wellington) is from Manchester, England, England. I never would have guessed.

The man who took a picture of the kid in the hospital and posted saying that they’d let the kid die. That made the father kill the FBI hostage which, in turn, set off the whole powderkeg.

Ah, shit. I just found out that I’m seeing it a week behind the Showtime airings. It all made sense except the hospital stuff which must be the latest. Nevermind.

Funny, when I saw picture man I said “my gut tells me he’s Russian!” Then I realized the actor plays a Russian KGB agent in The Americans, lol.
