The Simpson’s last night on Sky1 showed Homer openly smoking legalised medical dope. I loved the Government health warning on the Dope “Warning: Objects can seem tastier that they actually are” or something very like that.
Otto and Homer crashed in a pad in the attic. One of the best lines was Karl saying that they were going to have a intervention for Homer but he got Alcohol poisoning at the planning meeting

The Simpsons is shown on Fox in the states. Indeed, the episode was shown. Two years ago, IIRC. It’s a pretty good one.

It’s not from two years ago. The episode in question, Weekend at Burnsies, aired for the first time on FOX in the U.S. on April 7th of this year.
I think they reran it once, but I’m not sure. It certainly wasn’t on last night. There’ll be no Sunday night FOX for three more weeks thanks to baseball playoffs.
Oh yeah, Homer knows what Homer likes. I can think of three other examples of Homer partaking in pharmaceuticals.

Don’t forget the time Homer ate an entire box of baking soda (which had been in the fridge for god knows how many years) and experienced an “antacid flashback”.
One of my favorite lines was when Bart was taking care of the “bird” eggs in his treehouse.
Marge looks up at the tree and says: “What’s he got up there?” to which homer replies(disinterested):"I don’t know, Drug Lab?
Not actually Homer partaking, but when he destroyed the hippie’s juice factory and created a batch from their “personal” vegetables. All of Springfield got stoned. Best part was when Abe and Jasper are on the park bench laughing als Beavis and Butthead. “hehe, we’re so old, hehe”
