Homestar Runner CD!!!

If you’ve never heard of Homestar Runner, you might want to click around a bit, otherwise this thread is likely to be quite meaningless to you.

I’m so excited for this! Go to the main page and click on the little oval where new things are always posted when it gets to “CD out next week.” You can hear clips of full-length, truly aweXome versions of the best H*R songs of all time:

Frankly, I’ve been a little disappointed the the Brothers’ work of late, and this is really going to revitalize my faith in them. I think we all know what’s on my christmas list.

HA! I wonder how it will sound.

I might buy it just to have a good copy of Everybody to the limit.

“come on Fhqwhgads, I said come on Fhqwhgads!”

I wonder if it will have a song about Sibby.

I’m looking forward to the Homestar Runner theme and Homestar’s weird inspirational song.

“Oh yeah, you gotta do the best you can…”

I gotta admit that I’m most looking forward to a fully fleshed out mix of “The Cheat is not dead”.

The system … is down! The system … is down!

Doot doot doot, doo doot doo doo doot doot

Who’s always giving StrongBad a hand?
The cheat, the cheat…

Hey, could someone tell me which Strongbad E-mail he first mentioned “Fhqwhgads”? I’m afraid the titles don’t tell much.

Fhqwhgads isn’t an e-mail, it’s a short. It’s called “Everybody to the Limit.”

I thought he never ever ever ever ever wrote a song about Sibby.

You know, I’ve seen that one and tried to find it later and never could.

I think the first mention was the one called i love you.

Copy and paste for your listening pleasure…

It’s called “i love you”. I think it’s #9.

OMFG! Hoooooooooooooooommmmmmeestaaaaaaaaaaawwww Wwwwuuuuunnnnnneeeerrr!

The Ones are aaaalllllllwaaaays cooooooooold!
Andtheparties laaaaaaast aaaal niiiiiiiiite!
Andthere’s probly looootsa choclaaaaaaaate,
And pop-you-laaaashun tiiiiiiire!

[hijack]Who are these “Brothers” you speak of? I always wondered who wrote Homestar Runner.[/hijack]

aaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWW E-MAIL!

Someone told me that apparently the “I love you” e-mail to Strongbad was actually the “I love you” virus that was circulating for a while, and that Fhqwhgads was actually the first line of the virus in ascii or maybe it was just the weird things that go around in those e-mails. In any case, I MUST HAVE THIS CD.

On closer inspection, it seems all of the songs are Strong Bad, with the exception of “Heart of a Lion”, which is pretty close. So maybe the Homestar stuff won’t be on this CD. Oh well. I think it would be cool to get the old scroll button ditties, since they’re not available anymore.

…as long as we don’t get anything from that wretched Strong Bad Sings album…

“What do you get… when you email Strong Bad? You get a world of hurt!”

The “Brothers” are the Brothers Chaps, or the Chapman brothers- the two guys who came up with all the characters on the site (and now make enough money off HR merchandise to have quit their day jobs).

Awesome, awesome fellas.

I’m really hoping to see some of the “Strong Bad Sings” songs on the CD- particularly “Let’s get started on all those awesome things I suggested” and “Let’s make believe that we’re in love, so I can break up with you”.

And, of course, “The Cheat is not Dead” will be #1 on Billboard by Christmas if there’s ANY justice

They are known as “The Brothers Chaps” and I think they’ve done a few other things (though none so well-known as the H*R gang). Some of the cartoons have credits naming “Mike and Matt” and also “Misty.” I’m not sure who she is. All I know is, to look like a true Homestar fan, you have to say things like “TBC really did a good job on this one” or “I wonder what TBC are gonna pull out of their sleeve for the SBE this week. I hope the KOT is in it.” (Take note: Excessive acronym use indicates true fandom.)

Misty does Marzipan’s voice. I don’t think she’s involved with the creative aspects of HR, though.
