Honda's Building a Pick Up Truck!

You can see photos of the prototype [ulr=“http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/autoshows/naias2004/honda/sut1.html”]here. I’ve got a little inside info that I gleaned from my mother (she works for a Honda dealership), but I can’t reveal it, though I will tell you that there’s something innovative about how Honda’s going to be doing the tailgate.

I know that there was a thread about why Honda doesn’t build one in GQ ages ago, but I don’t feel like doing a hamsterflail to find it.

Grr. Here.

They should rename it the Sport Light-Utility Truck.

They’d sell a million.

Well, judging by the photo here, I’d say that it’s gonna be pretty big.

I can picture it now.

“Honey, I’m going downtown to buy a SLUT.”

WHAP!

:stuck_out_tongue:

Doesn’t look like it can carry a 4x8 sheet of plywood in that bed. And what’s the point of owning a truck that can’t even do that?

Ugh, I wish it weren’t so damned ugly. We’re pretty big Honda fans here, and a truck option would be appealing. Or would be if they scrapped this concept and started over.

I don’t know, but I have a sneaking suspicison that it’s going to be like the GM Avalanche, in that you can fold down the rear seats, and drop the back of the cab to haul larger things.

And Cranky, if you think the Honda’s ugly, you should go to the last page on my second link and look at the Kia concept car. That’s Aztek ugly!
