Just had a nice little nappy poo. Still cloudy and overcast, but no rain yet.
Jim I do my best to class him up. However, OYKW is from west Alabammy so I guess there’s just so much I can do. The only fish JDD Partner will eat is fried catfish and shrimp, which he will eat either fried or boiled. So JDD and I go do our sushi thang together from time to time.

I’m not a sushi person, but then again, I’m an extremely picky eater who dislikes most foods. (and the foods I do like, I eat too much of.)
I think it’s partly my parents’ fault. When my mother was little, her family often fought at the dinner table. My mother wanted no fights at the dinner table when she had kids of her own, so to avoid arguments, she decided that my sister and I would never have to eat any food that we didn’t want to eat. This usually - no, always - resulted/results in different suppers for different people at suppertime.

Aleve, Benadryl, Claeritin, and a nap have cooled the headache off to a dull roar, but it ain’t gone.
VunderBob, be very, very glad that you don’t live here with me, because the neighbour’s got a goddamn mother-fudging leafblower going, and it shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.

The rain has started. A light rain but the weather PTB say we could have tboomers a little later. Temps are also supposed to fall into the mid 60s. Nice sleepin’ weather what with the windows open and all.
Very productive day so far! I spent about 2 anna half hours pulling weeds on the hill and cutting back the wisteria that is trying to take over Helen Estates! **FCD **got home about an hour before I quit, and he helped by hauling the weeds and other debris to the back of the yard while I continued to pull weeds. We quit, put our stuff away, and I hopped into the shower. By the time I got out, it was raining, so our timing was just right! We had lunch at Cheeseburger in Paradise, then ran by Petco for a few things we needed.
On the way back, we stopped at a new pet grooming shop - run by the girl who used to groom Bernie and Scruffy and who does Higgs’ nails. They just opened on Tuesday - I sure hope they can make a go of it!
I just finished cleaning out the pellet stove - I can’t believe we left ashes in all summer! But it’s ready to go now - in fact, we may have to fire it up tonight. Forecast lows in the mid-40s - brrrrrr!!
Higglet is happily gnawing on the new antler we bought for her. That’s the best chew toy ever! No slimy stuff on the floor, no batting or threads all over the place (or in her poo) and it lasts for ages! **FCD **is in the basement making a dedicated place for his airbrushing. He was getting a new light fixture ready to go up. Which reminds me…
Last night, we stopped at Lowe’s to look for clip-on spotlights. As we passed the display of halogen spotlights, I remembered that in the former basement apartment, we had a rail with 3 spots over the sink. I asked my sweetie if they’d work, and he agreed. But we weren’t sure where we’d put them when we de-apartmented the basement. Just then, one of the guys who worked in that department asked if he could help us. So **FCD **asked him if he knew where in our basement we’d put the lights. The guy said “No, and I’m pretty sure you’d be worried if I did know!” Cracked us up! It’s nice to run into people who have a proper sense of humor.
Still dreary and icky out. I was going to try to make pretzels, but I think I’ll just turn on the TV and knit.
I envy people who are good at taking afternoon naps. I fail at them so often. 
In any case, today I’ve got much to do. Arrrgh. I want to practice my clarinet but it’d annoy my sister, who still isn’t up yet in spite of it being 3:30 PM. arrgh. So I’m doing some work on music notation software instead.
The cable company royally screwed up our switch to digital at irk this week. Last night channels on the rooom tvs started going out. They sent a warm body in to look at it, not realizing Detailed AGM was out today. They had to deal with NY AGM who was Not Having It. She called Big Boss who promptly spun his head around like he was in The Exorcist. Cable company will be coming back Monday when they will have to deal with Big Boss in person. I’m sure She Who Must Be Obeyed will have Harsh Words for them on Monday as well.
I’m off until Tuesday. I’m so glad. Also, I stopped off at the Nearby Burrito place and got a good tofu quesadilla and a whole pile of the excellent pineapple salsa I love. Mmmm, pineapple.
MOOOOOOM I love people like that guy in Lowe’s. I probably would have bought sump’n from him just cause he made me laugh.
Spaz yeah that switch to digital has been a blast. I had Mediacom out no less than four times and had to take back non-working converter boxes even still. Plus they broke my entertainment center. They are paying the full replacement cost of a new one btw. Also, I have a friend who works at one of the local hotels who tells me he experienced the same thing there with digital conversion. On the ball them cable people be!
I have eight quarts of chili simmerin’ away. It should be done in about an hour. If’n sustenance is desired this evenin’ it will be that and/or sammiches. The rest shall be frozen for future consumption. It smells nummerific up in da cave!

I am sitting here irking
taking calls my work phone, in between calls I am talking and texting on my cell phone, playing matching with friends on my cell phone, playing words with friends on my tablet, watching TV and surfing the web.
Well trying to play words with friends anyway. I had it on my phone but it kept hanging up and screwing with my phone, so I took it off the phone and put it back on the tablet, but now it’s hanging up on the tablet too.

The pellet stove is adding warmth to the house. I’m gonna find something to eat, then knit the night away. MWAH!!
Made pizza with the last of my sketti sauce. Almost hockey time.

I’m lactose intolerant, be glad it isn’t me.
