I know 19-year-olds commanding tanks, 19-year-olds processing highly classified intelligence, 19-year-olds calling in air strikes. Being 19 years old is no excuse.

He’s an adult now. Isn’t this a sign that he’s over? Go ask David Cassidy who had the largest fan club in the world, or any of the other teen idols who couldn’t make it past adolescence.
When he was an unknown with YouTube videos that were getting a lot of attention, a manager came to him and his mother to help manage his career. Notably two people who wanted to work with him were Usher and Justin Timberlake. The idea is that both performers were able to transition from teen idol to adult star and could help him with doing so as well. (FYI, he chose to work with Usher.) It remains to be seen how successful he’ll be in doing so.

The sad thing about this story is the number of times I’ve seen it covered by CNN today. I’ve tuned to CNN three times so far today and that is their big news story. Seriously, I was just at the gym (where they have TVs) and CNN had something like 10 minutes of Beb footage on. I want to find a news source that will keep me up on what is happening in the world. It’s refreshing know CNN is there, working to bring us the hard hitting stories.
Modern news reporting seems little different than having an intern scour the internet for new outrageous and bizarre postings for tweets, twurts, emails, comments, blogs and bloops.
