Just an idea:
I think it’d be cool if CtB could pick up little souvenirs along the way. They’d have to be pretty small to avoid the postage getting out of hand as this thing progresses - I was thinking stuff along the lines of little stick-pins, postcards, coasters, stickers, etc. Maybe we could make him up a passport to put stuff in.
By the way, Jodi, I was kidding about the surface mail bit. I don’t mind adding to Mr Bear’s frequent flyer miles.

I’m so excited about this! Kind of absurdly excited, actually. Note to self: Get life.
I am going to try to arrange things so that CTB can go to the Dopefests, since I can’t. He would love to meet a hot stuffed mama like FairyChatMoose, so we’ll work on that as well. 
I just need to get the dates of the various Dopefests hammered down, so I can plan his itinerary. LoadedDog, I love the idea of a passport, and I’m going to make one up and include it.
All bears should visit Alaska at least once. I’m sure I could get him some salmon too, maybe do some ocean kayaking, and definitely some mountain climbing.
I will take the bear from purplebear. that way he wont travel away and back again.
Cecil TB can have his picture taken in Fort Worth. Plenty of photo ops here, in the grand ol’ Western Style.

As for a schedule - what with my impending vacation and Miss Moose’s travels to the wedding, best schedule me for mid-June or later. And that’ll give me more time to decide on the best photo ops…
Not to nitpick your nitpick, but the main Ben and Jerry’s factory is in Waterbury, VT, with other factories in Springfield and St. Albans. Their corporate offices are in South Burlington.
I’d love to host Cecil! My name and address are coming your way! I’m in VT, and can take Cecil out on the lake, up Mt. Mansfield, and basically show him one helluva good time.
Oh yeah, and I’ll be going to the Toronto Dopefest later this summer.
If Cecil wants to check out the Nation’s Crossroads – he can come visit me in central Indiana. MagicalSilverKey was trying to arrange a HoosierDopefest – but haven’t heard anything lately.
If CTB happens to visit during the second week of August (tho he looks pretty booked!) – he can come with us to the west coast of Michigan as well…

Perhaps TLD you could arrange reciept of Cecil Bear and us Aussies can work out a round Australia trip for him. I’m happy to fork out some cash for his airfare home.

Melbourne sounds like a good idea, leechbabe, though we’ll have to work out who Cecil the Bear’s barracks for in the AFL (Maybe get him a little scarf or something).
Any Canberra Dopers? I’m sure Cecil would like a look at Parliament House.
Hopefully he’ll be able to get outside the cities too (if I go to visit my mum when I have him, I’ll get a nice photo with Cecil in front of a yellow road warning sign with a symbol of a kangaroo and “next 10km” on it.
TheLoadedDog, are you volunteering to oversee CTB’s trip to Australia??? Because I would take you up on that in a New York minute. Please let me know if this is something you’d seriously be willing to undertake. I’d anticipate sending him to you at the end of (our) summer, to enjoy summer with y’all.
