For Cecil the Bear’s stop in Washington, DC, I have planned the following stops:

White House
America’s Largest Erection (Washington Monument, duh!)
Library of Congress
Dupont Circle (dunno where specifically, but Dupont Circle)
Watergate Hotel

Is there anywhere else in the general DC area folks would like to see our beloved bear?

Since no doper has any intention of coming to Istanbul anytime soon, I guess I will volunteer to host CtB here. If you can fit Istanbul to the European tour schedule, I would really show CtB some unforgettable sights, and send him away to his next stop with some great memories!!

OK, where is Cecil now?

On Friday the 24th of May, I heard that Canadian Sue had just mailed him to me so that he could be here for Porkapalooza on June 1. He didn’t arrive.

I was supposed to mail him on to the Mountaindope folks for their get-together today. I haven’t sent him on because he still hasn’t arrived.

Did he smart off at a customs officer and consequently is sitting cooling his paws in a dank cell somewhere? Did he get shipped somewhere else by accident? Did his shipping box meet with a tragic accident?

I’m really starting to worry about the little guy.

Cecil the Bear is lost??? Nah, he’s just uh, uh, unavoidably detained. Yeah, that’s it. We can’t have any rumors starting now, could we?

Jodi, when Cece surfaces, I’ll be happy to host him in Northern Indiana. There ain’t much in the way of sightseeing opportunities but I’m sure we can show him a v-e-r-y good time! E-mail is on the way.
