If we have a Mason who still hasn’t come forward to counter-claim Red, I have choice words for that person. Lover roles traditionally come in pairs. The uncertainty being that they aren’t always the same alignment.

You have two good points, Cookies. A counter-claim ought to have come up by now, as it’s been a couple of Days. So I’ll accept Red’s claim. But that doesn’t prove his side – are they same-side Lovers, or cross-side Lovers? (What we do know is that they aren’t Suicide Pact Lovers, where the survivor has to self-kill.)
I’m still working through Day 2, and I hope Pants left some clues behind.
Meanwhile, I’ve counted 4 claims so far. Of the remaining five, we should consider how soon to have a mass claim. Since the question inevitably arises of the order to claim in, I propose this:
- We start with the original sign-up order as a proxy for an arbitrary order.
- We designate certain hockey games that night as our start-position seed.
- The next morning, we take the total goals from all those games, modulo the number of remaining unclaimed players, and start the claims from there.
Dang. Pants showed up very very late on Day 3. I didn’t see any breadcrumbing or other hinting. It sucks that we lost his investigation results.
While going through all that I did see discussion about Red as a mason and which side he’s on. I think it would be too gastard for a Doper Mafia game for cross-side masons, though I’m a bit surprised that a game this large had only two masons.
So as best as my trust gets, I’ll trust Red’s claim of being Town Mason #2 of 2.
Given my known low ability at finding Scum, accepting someone’s claim of Town is the best I can do.
One other thought, naturally after I posted that and looked at the vote count again.
Meeko took some attention on Day 3 that I want to reread later.
Okay, two thoughts. It may help us to reduce the unknown pool. If I find the attention on Meeko better than the uncertainty about Cookies, I’ll switch my vote to Meeko.

If you guys really think I’m the best lynch, there’s not much I can do to both dig out of the hole and find you a more attractive target. I’m not really feeling the Meeko case either. Idle’s participation has been really really low, possibly lurking scum, and this game has lurking scum in it. My role and how things went down has given then nothing but cover.
Scuba Ben’s participation level has been low too.
There will be scum on my wagon if I’m lynched. There aren’t really enough Townies left to lynch on their own.
For the 100th time, playing against lurking scum bothers me, because I play to play and am always suspected because of it, especially when I’m Town.
I thought about Meeko on the way home, and I’m having trouble with his defensive vote. (More so than I noted in #1151.)
At the time Meeko moved his vote to Cookies, she was leading 3-2 over Meeko. His reason was “I don’t like the wagon on me, and frankly need to do this now.”
I don’t see the immediate need. In fact, his reason sounds somewhat panicked. He’s usually very talkative, so the “need to do this now” smells fishy to me.

At this point the most anti-town thing you can do is be a) voting to mislynch me and b) not be trying to ferret out the actual scum and c) not participate such that your alleged Townie teammates have much of a read on you.
My gut is that Meeko is lynch-runner-up for being Meeko.

Meeko’s #1125 and #1128 are the sort of long posts I expect from him. So I’m more comfortable about him playing as he normally does. So I smell less fish than before.

My assessment: Idle has been after ushi pretty much all game long, until ushi was lynched. Meanwhile on Day 3 he started after Cookies. His participation starting from Day 2 fell off a LOT.
His low participation is not normal play for Idle. His lack of discussion Today is pretty suspicious; his three posts so far are essentially continuing his concerns about what side Cookies truly chose.
I’ve seen Idle play far better. The change in his play style strikes me as suspicious.
