Wolverine, how can I say this…you’re wrong about me.

First, you’re wrong about me being Scum (but of course I’m going to say that).

Second, you’re wrong about why I voted for Chronos. It wasn’t just because he posted the results of his program. I don’t care if he wants to use his program, and I don’t care if he wants to tell us what it says. To me, his voting program is just another analysis tool, just like the spreadsheet that I keep, only more automated. I don’t trust its results any more or less than I trust anything that anyone else says without substantiation.

But that’s all beside the point, because that’s not why I voted for him. I voted for him because he didn’t just post his program results. He told us that his program wasn’t terribly accurate in the current game state, *and *that he wasn’t planning to vote based on it, but he posted the results anyway.

Imagine if someone had said “I’ve been doing some analysis, and I’m not really sure of myself, but I think **Suburban **and **Astral **are most likely Scum, and then Ben, Chronos, and Meeko, in that order. I’m not going to vote for anyone right now, but that’s my feeling.” We’d be tearing him a new one for making unsubstantiated claims and smudging half the players in the game. But because **Chronos **gives us ‘scientific result’ he gets a pass.
On another topic, it seems that a couple people here have decided that **Idle **is pretty much confirmed Town because of his altercation with Pleonast. I have no idea why they think this. **Idle’s **recent comment on the subject was

Pleonast voted for me on Day One. In fact, he got so enthusiastic about it, he did it twice the same Day (even though he was already voting for me)

He did so again on Day Two. By this time, I was also highly suspicious of him and voted for him. We bickered back and forth a lot of that time…

…so pardon me if I say if both him and I being scum seems to have a very low chance. No doubt we could be scum who were fighting and voting for each other for Town cred, but Occam’s Razor says the most simple reason is that he was scum and I’m not.

To that I say: So what?

**Pleonast **voted for **Idle **on Day 1, mkaing the vote count at that point ushi-5, Pleo/Cookies-3, Idle-2. He voted for **Idle **on Day 2, making the vote Pleo-5, Idle-1. And yes, **Idle **voted for **Pleo **in his first Post of the Day.

I don’t see anything here that screams “Idle is Town!”…this could very well be a case of 2 Scum bussing each other. I’m not sure that it is, but I sure as hell ain’t giving **Idle **a pass based on that interaction. And frankly, it makes me more suspicious of Scuba_Ben, and to a slightly lesser extent Wolverine, for accepting it so eagerly.

I’m going to do one more very quick pass at things to see if I want to change my vote.

What worries me is that the last game where I accepted Idle’s Towniness so eagerly, he was Scum. (I think that was Sekham.) I’m trying not to hold that against him.

I presently count Idle as probable Town, not confirmed. I only count our two claimed Town power roles as confirmed. With the cop Dead, that’s as good as we’re going to get.

In other matters, my list has Chronos as the only unclaimed player.

In other other matters, I’m no more comfortable now voting for Cookies than I was yesterday. My only other sense is on Plankton, but I don’t want to change my vote without a reason. I have no read on Astral, Chronos, or Wolverine {that is, everybody else} at present, and I won’t have time before Dusk to reread.

By my count, we have received full claims from everyone except for **Chronos **(who has told us only that his character is “good-aligned” and “from comics”) and **Astral **(who has not claimed at all).

Have I missed a claim (or two) somewhere? If not, is there any reason these two gentlemen have for not making a full claim now?

I have to say that Meeko’s behavior Today has struck me as incredibly Scummy, what with him voting for literally half the Town Today, and heaping suspicion on Skeezix, who is as confirmed as anyone can be. But absent a counter-claim I see no way he can be anything other than what he claims to be, so that’s that.

I’m troubled about the recent push to lynch Cookies. I know I voted for her Yesterday, and my suspicion hasn’t completely dissipated, but I’m rethinking it now. Both **Chronos **and Scuba_Ben were voting for Meeko until his claim, and have now moved their votes to Cookies.

This is particuarly troubling in the case of Chronos, who had never really claimed to have any suspicion of **Cookies **up until his vote. He has stated that we should “hunt for other Scum, and if the game is still going when we think we’ve got all of them, kill Cookies then.” His vote program (which he doesn’t trust but posts for the rest of us to use anyway) shows everyone else as more likely to be Scum than Cookies. He reiterated Today that we should hunt the “original Scum” first, but he voted for **Cookies **anyway in the very same post.

At least Scuba_Ben had voted for **Cookies **earlier. Of course he hedged his bets by making sure we knew he expected to change his vote, but apparently it’s once again ‘good enough’ at this point.

It looks to me like the Scum thought they had a good mislynch in Meeko, righ up until he made his claim, so they had to move off to the next best choice, which is Cookies.

Right now, my biggest suspicions are on Idle, Chronos, and Scuba_Ben. By my calculations, those happen to also be the three people voting for Cookies. That suggests to me that I’m probably not batting 1.000 at the moment. But that’s OK, because I’m not trying to find 3 Scum Today; I’ll be perfectly happy with finding one. And I’m comfortable with my vote on Chronos.

If you have any inclination towards either of the vote leaders, i’d prefer it if you moved you’re vote in that direction. 5 votes is enough to prevent a steal. This sentiment goes for Wolverine and cookies as well. Let’s get some kind of consensus to prevent shenanigans.

I have the same problem with Meeko, down to the “however” clause. If he hadn’t claimed Shock Doc, I’d say he was acting so anti-Town he was blatant Scum.

My vote on Cookies is “good enough” only in the sense that I don’t have a good case on anybody. As usual. And Idle talked his way out of my attention. Would you like to revisit the case on him?

I see no reason for me to move my vote at this point purely out of survival interest. And with the two confirmed players (and their little potato too) voting me, my survival looks thin.

I’m plain Town. I hardly ever get the cool roles. Most I ever got was ATC in International.

Except Chronos gave us his methods. That’s not unsubstantiated. You can either ignore the results, agree/disagree with them, or examine the program to make it better. I took the first choice. They were interesting but not useful so I didn’t use them.

As far as Idle is concerned, I’m not making him Mayor of Townsville. I just think that with the large amount of stink raised between him and Pleonast that he has a lot of Town cred. He can quickly waste it with some of his latter posts, but his actions and votes against Pleo have to count for something.

After reviewing both of the cases against the leading candidates, I think Scuba Ben is more likely scum than Cookies. Between **special ed’**s fight with **ushimitsudoki **and These are my own pants on Day 1 and Scuba Ben’s trying to find the doctor toDay (before Meeko was pressured into revealing), he has the slight edge of scumminess over Cookies.

There, now we have all of the claims out. And I’m really curious what it was that Red Skeezix saw that could implicate a couple of people, because we could really use implicating someone right now. Is it just Scuba’s “from the fairy tales”? Because that doesn’t really sound much different, to me, from my “from the comics”. Not “from the Justice League”, not “from Superman”, not even “from DC comics”, just “from the comics”. I don’t know why Mahaloth was more specific with some folks than others, but I can tell from my own role that he was, so that’s a pretty thin reason to lynch someone.
