Missed two birthdays because of this. Luckily I have them written down, but this is a lesson to me: Don’t depend on an e-mail service to remind you of anything!

Huh, I’ve been using Hotmail for about 6 years now, and the reminders have never failed for me. Sorry it didn’t work for ya.
They work for me, too, but I have to remember to actually CHECK my email to get them…sometimes I’m a little late doing that.
