Houdope time again?

How about it?, the last one (or was that the one before?) was great, is it time yet?.

Unclviny

Yeah, it’s a good time to start organizing something 3, 4, 5 weeks out. Feedback Houston? The weekends mentioned would be July 26th, August 2nd and August 9th.

Or another?

I’m in, if possible. I’ll most likely be taking my leave of Houston in the next couple of months and would like one last chance to mingle with you gentlefolk.

If y’all wanna do it on August 3rd (a Sunday), the Doorses might possibly be able to attend, seeing as we will be celebrating Aaron’s birth (and my brother’s wedding) in San Antonio.

Robin

Ooh, I want in this time! Just don’t do it July 20th. I’ll be busy getting married that day.

Where are we proposing to do this? Joe’s Crab Shack again?

I’m in too, and fairly flexible as to time, date and location.

August 3rd is a possibility, for say an early afternoon (2:00ish) gathering; eat, drink and be merry 'til…? While we’ve done’em on the deck at Joe’s, on August 3rd that might be a little warm.

Count me in as well.

Perhaps see a movie at the Alamo Drafthouse and then find a pub to raid?

Just a thought.

I’d go for a HouDope weekend, with Saturday night as robgruver describes, and then a Sunday hookup with the Doors family.

Just a thought.

That would work.

Robin

Sounds like fun! Count me in.

I think I could at least do the Saturday night thing. I’m always all for a trip to Alamo Drafthouse too.

Alamo Drafthouse West Oaks Mall

I don’t see anything scheduled for that weekend, so I guess we will have to play it by ear once it gets closer. That place is so much fun. Plus its great because all the doper spouses can come and not be completly bored out of their minds! (… and you doper spouses should start a support group or something  )

I don’t know of any good west side pubs either. Anyone have suggestions?

We still need to think of an alternative to broiling Baby Doors on the deck at Joe’s (and they get a little silly indoors there). Any other places?

Yeah, Baby Doors is better sauteed in garlic.

::d&r::

They put an Alamo Drafthouse in West Oaks Mall?!?!

Actually, what we do with Baby Doors is irrelevant. My grandmother has enlisted my help in hosting a brunch for my brother and his new wife Sunday morning, so unless we can do this later (like say, around 4 p.m.), we’re not going to be able to make it, since it’s a three hour drive from San Antonio.

However, for those who can get away Friday the 1st, we’re having a birthday party at my parents’ house. You’ll have to put up with my relatives, some of whom are quite insufferable, but it’ll be a lot of fun.

Robin

Y’all figure it out and let me know.

The flower shop will be sold by then, and I will NOT be at work!!

YAY for me.

Dee Dee

Now that brings a whole new meaning to baby-back ribs.
