Hi, my name is not Jim. 
They make drink at the restaurant but that doesn’t mean I’m going to go into a bar.
Road Rash, Jimwicked would be me and drinking doesn’t bother me at all. In fact, I have even been known to buy drinks.
I have not been to every Houdope, but everyone I have been to has been at a place that has served food. Not just frozen pizzas, but a full restaraunt. This includes The Ale House (RIP), Baker Street Pub (a British themed restaraunt), and Joes Crabshack.
Two Rows and Hickory Hollow are both restaraunts. Two Rows is a brewpub. Brewpubs typically serve very good food. Hickory Hollow is a “chicken fried steak” kind of place where you order and pick up your food from a counter.
Personally, I enjoy good conversation at these events. And conversation just goes better with a beer or two. The drinking of alcohol is totally optional. You can drink whatever you want.
But please don’t decline to show up just because some people care for a beer.
Road Rash, that is all well and good, but bars typically don’t have non-smoking sections and restaurants don’t usually have alcohol at almost every table. I already said I didn’t really care about the food since I most likely won’t even be eating, so the quality of the food is not a concern of mine, only the fact that I’m not interested in going to a bar. Hickory Hollow is a restaurant as you already said, so I’m not sure why you’re arguing with me; I only said that if people went to the bar next door afterwards, that I would not be going along.
Jinwicked I don’t get the impressionRoadRash is trying to argue, more likely he wanted to clarify that some folks at the table will likely have a beer with their meal and was hoping you wouldn’t NOT join the group because of it. Maybe it has something to do with the ‘What Doper is HOT’ thread…

And DLurker (ignore the fact that I started this sentence with a preposition, please!), lest you think the above was sincere… (oh, so tempting, but I’ll be good!) I was only teasing – eventually I would’ve told ya!

I believe lieu is referring to my top hat , though I’ll probably wear my newsboy cap as it wears better indoors so I won’t have to take it off and worry about having someplace clean to stash it.
Well I will not be dancing on the tables! I just don’t do that anymore, well not much anymore and never for less than a 20.00…

By the way, since this is a local thread, is anyone here a photographer or know someone who is that works TFP? I am looking for someone new in town to take pictures for my site. 
What is TFP? If that’s for free, then I don’t know of any photographers like that. Are you looking for subject or people photographers? Tio takes all of the photos for the guys at LaBare and is very good (I have his website somewhere if you’re interested)… or there’s a couple of others I’ve used in the past - but mostly I know people-photographers…
TFP means “time for print.” Like, model’s time for prints from the photographer, and both parties get to use the images in their portfolios. It’s a pretty common arrangement, especially with part-time photographers.
