Ok so obviously I’m new to SDMB, and to Houston (see location). Well I’m not in fact here (there?) yet, but am in the process of moving to Houston and will be arriving on the 7th, so I can make the dopefest. Hopefully I’ll be able to make some time to post more and lurk less while I’m organizing this move, so I’m not a complete stranger at dinner. Looking forward to meeting all of ya’ll soon.

Hey everyone, my friend’s band is having a show on the 16th and I might be going on stage to give the birthday boy some spankings… I will be bringing info on the show with me to the Dopefest if anyone wants to come. 
jinwicked you simply must be more specific… where is this show that is the day after our fest?
Jin’s computer ist kaput! She’s forcing me to read SDMB posts to her over the phone, and too reply for her too. I think she has some sort of internet addiction
The aforementioed show is going to be at a place called the “Engine Room” which I’m told is a downtown club. Jin will be bringing maps and directions to the show with us to the dopefest.
