The first new episode in quite some time–actually, this was one of the last few that they were able to shoot before the strike shut things down. I don’t know when or if they’ll be able finish the remaining ordered episodes (nine) in time to finish out a regular season.
Someone help me out…House was examining a blond patient, and he said he only ever sees ex cons, prostitutes, children, blah blah blah list of people. He then assumes she’s a prostitute, and she says she’s not, and there were others on the list that he didn’t disqualify her as, and she wasn’t a child.
So…what did she admit to being? Was it just a prostitute, cause I thought she denied that?
She coyly admitted to being a ho. House said he disqualified everything but prostitute, then she corrected him saying that he didn’t eliminate child either. Then she said she wasn’t a child…hence, he’s right…she’s a ho and he’s probably got a date for later.
I’m calling it right now, the daughter is adopted. That’s why the mom doesn’t want her to be tested for the match. It’s the only lie she ever told her daughter, so it’s all significant and shit.
The patient was not only a horrible actor (even if you’re blind you could feel blood running down your face you fool!) who kind of looked like Shelly Duvall but this was overall a really boring episode. I called House putting his name in the secret santa as it was happening. Boring.
And was that blonde patient…Tracy Gold? I swear that was Carol Seaver. Who knew she blew donkeys?
Thank you!!! That was bugging me the whole episode. I knew I knew her from something. I miss The West Wing.
Storms were messing with our reception practically the entire episode. I didn’t get the Mary thing. Who was that chick? A prostitute playing Mary in a Catholic Church or was she just being coy with House? Oh, and she looked familiar too.
Just a heads up: people are probably gonna miss this otherwise.
There’s a new episode Sunday, 2/3, after the Super Bowl. I’m just saying because some people bypass TV on Super Bowl Sunday. So do not skip this or you’ll regret it.
No, they thought her mind was tricking her body (conversion disorder) which can be treated by anti depressants, and may also be a sign of depression.
I hope I’m not alone in wishing that both the mother and daughter be killed in that episode, hopefully by a bus. Their smug self righteousness at how f-ing honest they were with each other was so irritating as to make me have ZERO compassion for them. And their assumption that just because they were honest, everyone else was a liar. “Do they look scared?” Shut up. I hope your eyes fall out.
Overall, not a great episode, but I did like the “clap on!” exclamation.
The symptoms were due to breast cancer, which they overlooked because she had had a double mastectomy. But it turned out that breast tissue can sometimes form in other parts of the body, and they discovered some cancerous tissue under her knee.
I liked the episode. Wilson’s walking because it would hurt House to follow was a nice touch.
I don’t know why Chase and Cameron are still listed in the credits though. Cameron was in on shot – non speaking – and Chase had one scene. The show should have dumped them and gone with the new doctors.
