House 11/29

Best episode of the season, hands down. I loved the recreation and re-done scenes as the stories were being told, and there were some great lines tonight too.

And then of course…Foreman is House’s new boss…Wow.

Great episode. Done in a very “Three Stories” style. I loved the flashbacks in trying to tell the entire story.

Best line (paraphrased): “Actually, you are the WORST tranplant doctor in the hospital, but fortunately, the only one cheating on his wife”

And then he told the wife anyway! LOL!

Most unpredictable show on TV! Love it, love it, love it!

It’s so great to see scuffy looking SOB’s in romantic leads too.

I came in late—what’s the diagnosis that Chase missed?

The lady had stomach pain and he didn’t ask further about it, just prescribed a stronger antacid. That pain turned out to be major ulcers which cascaded into all the other problems.

I loved this one, laughed out loud more than once at House’s antics. Telling the wife anyway was just over the top.

Best line of the ep: "I’m going to tell you about a hypothetical patient… let’s call her Fusan. "

Telling a patient with a cold that he’s dying, just to trick him into getting health insurance is pretty low too. But funny.

Along with Buck: I realized afterwards that the two patients he pulled the trick on had the same names as my wife and me: Susan and Chuck.

Great episode on all counts, though.

Last week I was so tired from working so much I fell asleep before House even came on and I missed an episode that sounded very interesting. This week I have a cold and fell asleep during the show and I missed what sounds like the best part, Foreman is House’s boss?! What?

Ex: “If Chase is a bad Doctor, then why did you hire him?”

House, while hobbling along: “He has great hair.”

Ex: “Seriously, what are you hiding?”

House, stopping to turn around: “Ok, I’m gay” then something about how it explains his fascination with sneakers!

Spoilers ahead:

In a nutshell: Chase (and because he supervises Chase, House) were put under peer review because Chase misdiagnosed a woman with severe bleeding ulcers. The ulcers perforated, the woman went septic and destroyed her liver. Woman’s brother offers half of his liver. Liver gets transplanted, woman starts to get better, then it comes out that brother had hepatitis (he bribed a lab tech to say he was clean) and gave woman cancer (how this happened is a bit fuzzy to me).

Turns out, Chase had just heard that his father had died seconds before dismissing the woman with a scrip for stronger antacids. This was considered mitigating circumstances and he was suspended for a week with a note in his permanent record. House was ‘sentenced’ to one month of supervised patient visits, because of his failure to visit patients. Cutty chose Forman as his supervisor.

“I guess I’m his best friend now.”

The brother knew that he had hep, and lied because he really wanted to give the liver to his sister. When they both got sick two months later with similar symptoms, House diagnosed the brother’s cancer, part of which had been given to his sister along with the liver. Her immune system was too weak to do anything about it, but his hasn’t metastasized yet, so they caught it in time. The upshot was, that although he gave his sister fatal cancer, it also caused his cancer to be diagnosed early enough for treatment.

Great, great, great episode.

Why Foreman, though? Did Cuddy select him based off of the tension between him and House.

Then again, I suppose Cameron wouldn’t work, Wilson’s a specialist in a different field, and Chase was too close to the incident that just happened. So Foreman’s the obvious choice.

I thought so too!

Truth be told, I thought it would be discovered that the brother killed the sister on purpose for some undisclosed financial gain.

That’d only happen if it were a crossover episode with “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”. Just imagine House and Detective Goren in the same room!

That’d be a study in psychosis if I ever saw one.

Surely there’s someone more senior in the whole hospital! Of course they would have all heard about House and declined  The teaser for next week hints that it may be a permanent gig for Foreman.

Well, House diagnosed that rat for the strange way it cocked its head, so I would imagine he’d assume Goren’s distinctive head cock was a result of the same condition.

Not unless they’re going to change the name of the show to “Foreman”. IMHO the next few shows will be a study in humility for Foreman, who’s just way too tense in that “Fools, none of you know what you’re really doing” kind of way. House will get to show him that being in charge is less telling everyone what to do, and more shouldering responsibility than he thinks it is.

I wonder when they’ll address the fact that Cuddy has the hots for House big time.
