[tangent] Ha! On Tuesday, TNT aired an old episode of Law & Order, and that actor was in it. I said to my husband, “I think that’s the same actor that played Freedom Master,” but forgot to go look it up. I was right! [/tangent]
And even if he was young, well, sometimes people get married young. I got married about a month after 9/11, when I was 23. And I know lots of people who got married during or right after college. So it’s not unreasonable.
Finally got to see this. I blame all the Hulu people who assured me I could catch it there and safely tivo other things instead.
I loved this episode. Definitely my favorite. I’ll be very disappointed if this doesn’t result in some Emmys down the line. I’m so glad they played it straight for the most part. If House had been hallucinating someone or if it turned out that he had been tricking the hospital still somehow in the end it would have ruined it for me.
It was very different than the usual House formula though, and it also endangers the status quo with the threat of character growth. So the proof is in the pudding. How things go next week will be very interesting to see. After an episode like this, if things go back, I’m not sure if I could keep watching the show…
So-so episode by “House” standards. But still better than almost anything else on TV.
The urine test stuff was all part of a setup by the staff. There were going to show that they could outsmart House. So of course they knowingly didn’t check the stall. They were giving him enough rope to hang himself and it worked.
88 posts in before someone says “Booger?” I am ashamed of you guys. He also appeared in 2 episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy” as Alex’s first kill. But not on “ER” or “Scrubs”. (There’s a lot of re-use of actors as patients among those shows.)
An interesting note about the final shot. House was wearing a faded smiley face tshirt.
Aside from a few kisses and such (many of them fantasy), House has rarely been shown getting down with a lady. I think the only other time was with Stacy.
The coming attractions show that it’s not going to be business as usual. House is unlicensed, can’t treat patients, breaks the rules to treat the PotW, etc. In other words, business as usual.
If you don’t hate 13, the character and the actress, then you’re not paying attention.
I thought the whole point of House ‘graduating’ was that the psych guy gave him his license papers.Or is he just waiting for the paperwork to get processed?
My sense was that he could not hope to get re-licensed without the recommendation of the psychiatrist, but there is probably a “character & fitness board” somewhere that can still decide to take or leave him.
