I spent the weekend at the Texas Rennisance Festival while my beloved Astros were in their final weekend of play with the NL: Central up for grabs. Since I am such the renny, I missed the games to go to faire. I called my mom on Sunday to find out what happened on Friday and Saturday, and she told me that the 'Stros had lost. I assumed the NL: Central title.
Now flash forward to this morning, and me sitting there reading the paper. What do I happen to run into while smoking my first ciggy of the morning? The Astros won. I was in shock, but happy.
So, let me give a huge congrats to the Astros and a hearty good luck for their playoff series this week against the Braves. Lets hope it doesn’t suck.
Anyone in Atlanta care to make a minor wager for the game? I am willing to throw in some good ole’ Texas BBQ if someone in Atlanta is willing to take my wager? Or all ya’ll scared?
