If god is everywhere ,why is there a need to pray in public. You can go home and pray your brains out and I don’t care. What is the need to precede public meetings and sporting events with prayers?
Since I don’t believe in god, why do I have to listen to praying. Would it be fair to start each public occasion with an atheist rebuttal? Why do we have to sit or stand for your praying/ Go home and do it, then no problems.
You are threadshitting.
I moved that post to this thread, which I’m sure is where Acid Lamp meant to put it. This might be my favorite wrong-thread post ever.
Now that you moved it, nobody will ever know.
Here you go - as originally posted by Acid Lamp:
Time travel. As others have noted, it is like having all the other powers wrapped up in one. You could make yourself irresistible by simply trying out different technique sequences.
Become invisible - manipulation of time is sufficiently powerful to achieve this effect. or simply go to the future and grab some tech that allows you do so. We aren’t that far off now.
**Become irresistible to anyone I desire ** trial and error.
**Communicate with alien life forms ** matter of time and technology.
**Communicate with animals ** Matter of time and technology
**Fly ** See above
**Heal sickness with my touch ** nano tech
**Live forever ** matter of time manipulation
****Predict the future ** self explanatory
**Teleport myself ** same effect
**Temporarily “freeze” all life (except my own) ** self explanatory, (create a tiny loop)
**Touch a book and absorb its contents forever ** matter of technology
Our father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done, on Earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day the power to turn invisible, travel through time, and fly under our own power…
I like it.
:smack:
Well I have to admit that WOULD be an improvement upon the original prayer.
I blame Lazarus form recovery for this.
Which, again, is exactly what I’m saying. Allah isn’t any random god. He’s the god who authored the Kuran. Others gods, like Apollo, aren’t Allah anymore than a random woman is “la Sonsoles” .
And especially not so since it isn’t just an article added, but a contraction. It’s not just “al ilah”, it’s Allah, a specific term for a specific god.
No but they are allah. Or actually, in this case, it would have to be the plural form.
Am I the only one who sees a contradiction here?
ilah, not allah
