How are gas prices in your area?

$2.37 at Costco today.

StG

Here in suburban Chicago today, regular (87 octane) unleaded is around $2.90 in DuPage County, and $3.25 in suburban Cook County. it’s as low as I’ve seen it in many months.

Still $5.30/gallon for regular near my place in the SF Bay Area :grinning:.

In Montreal (Canada), prices have been stable for the last couple of weeks at around $1.60 CAN per litre (about $4.55 US per US gallon). Still cheaper than San Francisco.

Actual purchases:

Arlington/Alexandria VA late in the week : $3.049/gal

San Juan PR today: $0.807/L ($3.05/gal)

The Lummi 76 station was $3.599 yesterday. I thought I paid $3.259 earlier. Either the price went upl or I misremembered.

Here in Portland (Oregon) they’ve been running in the mid-to high $4.00 for the name brand places, usually south of 4.00 at Costco and similar locations. But there’s an ARCO station at Beaumont and Cesar Chavez that’s currently at $3.31 when you pay cash and pump it yourself.

The long run of falling gas prices may be at an end. Wholesale gas is up over 25 cents for the last week as oil finally starts to rally. So top off early this week.

Prices about to go up 15 cents in Ohio (states like Ohio which cycle their prices regularly often depend on a “trendsetter” chain to set the rising target, which almost all other local stations then follow without question. :robot: Here it is Speedway; in Florida it is Gate. Almost all recent price reports of Speedway are at 2.89 now.). So if you live in Ohio, top off NOW.

Indiana and Michigan are likely to follow suit before the end of the week, so caveat emptor there as well.

I was in LA last month, and I think we filled up at almost $6/gallon. Though that was very much a “there’s an open gas station, let’s go” in Hollywood. The California gas “tax” is real.

Shell is $2.29/gallon right now in Colorado Springs. We’re back to $10 filling a motorcycle tank for a day of fun levels.

The place I get my gas is suburban Cook County (47th and Central — it’s technically a part of Forest View, according to the receipts) and it was $2.87 cash/$2.92 credit today. It’s been under $3 for a few days now. Go a mile east into the city and, yeah, you can add at least thirty cents to that. You can get a skosh cheaper in Cook County if you head towards 87th and Harlem. I see prices of $2.81 there.

I checked my receipt, and the gas was really $3.599 – the same as I paid this morning. It was last week, or the week before that, that I saw $3.259 at the Angel of the Winds Casino gas station. I don’t know if that was cash, or credit; and I forgot to look as I passed on the way home.

I know it’s a few days later, but the Costco in Suisun (North Bay Area) had gas for $4.07. Here in Napa, it’s currently $4.44. I haven’t seen it under $5 in quite a while.

Last night it was $2.65 at my Costco in SE Michigan. Cost me >$38 to fill up my tank.

$2.84 for 10% ethanol. The grocery store I frequent has a rewards card that is good for Kwik Trip (dominant gas/convenience store in the La Crosse area) . Since I drive a Prius and usually don’t drive far*, I tend to accumulate discounts – I paid $2.68

Brian
* I did go on five 100+ mile trips this year, but none since Thanksgiving which is I think the last time I filled up.

Yikes. I just filled up at a gas station in Palo Alto California this morning. $6.20 for regular. That was a poor choice of gas station. Google Maps says it’s available for less than $5 just a few miles away from there.

$3.459 today.

National prices headed back south, oil down today. The Great Lakes likely doesn’t have to worry about any more increases until at least after the first of the year, nor Florida (after its massive 30 cent increase last week).

Cheapest round here is £1.389/litre equivalent of US$7.36/US Gallon though I did see a motorway service station charging £1.789 ($9.47)

I think that is quite cheap a couple of months ago nowhere was under £1.55/litre.

In Aus at the moment where I live it is $1.79 AUD for 1l of fuel, or $6.76 AUD per gallon. Much cheaper than a year ago when it topped around $2.50 per 1l, but still a shit price to pay.
