Alright, this was the first win in their upcoming 12 game win streak. Exciting finish that ended in a miraculous 26 yard field goal as time expired. Tim Seder, the Cowboys kicker, had to overcome being kicked in the leg by a horse before the game.
How far we have fallen. In the early 90’s, we’d all have calling in to the talk shows to throw that one back. But now, hell, we won one!
Poorly played game of interest only to Cowpatty and Deadskins fans. MNF did a good job trying to not take the game too seriously and I did enjoy the opening and the game recaps from the days of Staubach and Theisman.
Didn’t cover the spread, though.
Odds needed…Bye week coming up and then the Cardinals. Chance at a two game win streak? Chances Ryan Leaf starts against Arizona?
Cowboys owe Stephen Davis a game ball.
I read a crazy rumor on ESPN about the Cowboys going after Bob Stoops after the season. Of course it won’t happen because Jerry Jones will never give Stoops power and Stoops will never come unless he has complete authority. Oh well.
I guess one good thing about the game is that Emmitt really did play well. He had some pretty nice runs. He is now on track for 1184 yards this season.
I actually enjoyed the game too because ABC basically spent the entire braodcast trashing it. Showing those old Cowboys-Redskins highlights was hilarious, though part of me feels it was a little disrespectful to the players on the field, who have nothing to do with how horrible the owners of these franchises allowed the team to be.
Texas, I wouldn’t be rushing to buy those Super Bowl tix just yet!
I have to get them before all you soon to be bandwagon jumpers steal them from true fans like me.
Yay. We won. Wooo.
