I’m not sure if it was just something new that i’ll eventually like, but i couldn’t stand how nearly every play in the Thursday night game was shown with the camera angle from behind the line of scrimmage. Its a neat angle once in a while or on replays, but i really didn’t like them using it for almost every play. Now get off my lawn.
Sunday night Eagles Cowboys should be fun!
Unless you’re a Cowboys fan.
Well, there’s always the upset to hope for, I guess.
Me? I’m worried about Seattle hosting Atlanta. I dunno who’s going to line up against Julio Jones now that Richard Sherman’s blown out his Achilles.
The way Julio’s playing this season I’m not sure it matters much. He has only caught 1 pass from Ryan past 25 yards out of 17 attempts. And he’s only made one touchdown so far. They aren’t the duo they were last year.
(I know this well because Jones is on my fantasy team. :()
Luckily Jeremy Lane isn’t that bad, they have Byron Maxwell back to add a little depth, and Coleman has turned into a good nickelback. I’m more worried about Kam Chancellor being gone, hopefully with Earl Thomas back they can have Bradley McDougald filling in at strong safety. McDougald is better than a lot of starters at safety, he’s been a huge benefit this year.
My wife commented on this as well. She thinks it might go back to the foggy Pats game at Foxboro when they couldn’t use the stationary cameras and had to use the Spider-Cam for all the plays and some director fell in love with the idea. I think it’s really cool for a replay, but not for live action.
Or a Giants fan. I always root for an asteroid strike.
The Cardinals have extended Larry Fitzgerald. I have no idea why, It is time for Carson Palmer to retire and unless the Cards sign an experienced QB as a free agent, it seems kinda pointless. He’s a guy that has interests outside of football, he’s known for his world travels in the off season, so I can’t think he signed for another year because he doesn’t know what to with himself.
Everybody loves Larry. He’s probably one of the most well-liked active players. He’ll surely be in the HoF some day. He could probably get a TV job anywhere he wants to. I could even see him with his own show, he’s good on camera. I think that if he keeps playing it’s because he still enjoys it. I’m sure he’d be a great mentor to the next generation of players that Arizona desperately needs to bring in.
He’s my favorite NFL player of all time. Perhaps he suspects that the Cards will sign another veteran QB for a year or two and draft someone as well. Carson Palmer is completely done.
GO E A G L E S !
Another one I’m dying to see is Rams @ Vikings. Two teams that look playoff bound.
Every fiber of my being is waiting for the inevitable Vikings collapse and the painful moans emanating from all parts of Baja Canada. That’s going to happen, right? Because unless it does, I might not get to see my Packers in the playoffs. I really want to see my Packers in the playoffs.
Followed by the Chiefs collapse, although this usually happens once the playoffs start.
Wow, the Saints pretty much stunk until about 4 minutes left, then scored two TDs and a 2 point conversion to tie it up, and won in overtime. Amazing comeback!
And the Giants screw up and win. Why keep the coach if we weren’t going for no more wins? Damn defense must actually Spags and wanted to save his job maybe.
A couple of crucial penalties from my inept Redskins didn’t hurt their cause.
As an Eagles fan I am completely blown away. Expectations in pre-season in this town were such fans were debating whether it was more important for them to weasel into the playoffs or for Carson Wentz to develop. BOTH questions have been answered and I can tell you this is the greatest Eagles team I have ever seen. First team since 1953 to score 30+ points in 5 straight games? I know “any given Sunday” but it just seems every week whenever a team thinks they have the answers, this team changes the questions.
With the exception of New Orleans and New England, and those are long shots at best, I can’t think of one team that can beat them right now. A shoebox bet to win the Super Bowl.
Can the Packers just forfeit the rest of their games? At least that way no one else gets hurt…
Losing is one thing, but being shut out at home :smack:

It was announced before the game that they were going to use that as the primary camera for Thursday night. I actually like it. You can see downfield and you can see line play better. Apparently, the network thought it might appeal to these darn kids who only know football from playing Madden.
Ah, an excellent point. It’s about what you’re used to, I guess. Damn kids running the show.
