How 'bout those first place Steelers?

Isn’t this a little bit of bad timing for you to be calling Farve “the iron man”, less than 48 hours after he was carted off the field after twisting the hell out of his knee?

Well, the latest reports I have heard indicate that the injury was not really all that severe and he will most likely play in the Packers next game against Miami.

If Brett Favre is not in fact an iron man, then he is definitely the closest thing to one in the NFL today.

A little sensitive, Dave? Did every Pittsburgh fan call Ray Lewis a murderer this year? That’s old smack now. For the record, I think he’s mellowed.

I think it was nice of the Steelers to spot the league three games this year. The Rams may have overdid it, but who is going to say “I told you so” at the end of the season? Not me, after my loss of faith. I hope that I was fooled…

I knew this week’s game would be a good one, no matter the record- but for first place? That just makes it sweeter to beat the Ravens.

I’m just sick of it, that’s all, especially when there is so much that could be said that’s relevant to the current game. Ray Lewis as a murderer and the endless whining Clowns fans spout about the blowjob they got from the league is pathetic and indicative of a limited imagination.

Now, as to the coming game, y’all are coming into our house as a two point favorite. I can see it, but Monday was the first game that the Stillers played where they looked good. Beating Cincy is NBD, and y’all should have lost to the Browns. Baltimore is a young team playing over their heads. Bettis is out. ( I actually prefer it when he plays, the Stillers are more one dimentional, with Amos they open it up ). Your QB is an XFL retread playing very well, is he the next Kurt Warner? Our QB is in his first season and playing well. Our D has stepped up and we have some unexpected weapons on O. How will this all shake out? There is lots of smack that can be talked without resorting to tired old bullshit. How would it look if my idea of “talking smack” was to say “Yea, well Kordell Stewart is a faggot!” He may be, he may not be, who cares? What relevance does it have?

I guess you missed my point. I agree with you, the Ray Lewis trash- it’s not relevant to the game at hand. I was just making a point that everyone isn’t doing the trash talking, that there are other Steeler fans out here…

…and I wonder how much you Ravens fans are missing Priest Holmes now? I’d love to see Antwaan Randle El return another kick for a touchdown in this game. You’re right about the offense opening up without Bettis; they have a good chance of keeping the Ravens’ D off balance.

The thread title will stand true on Sunday.

Not missing Priest Holmes much now, missed him a lot last year. Jamal Lewis is fine at Rb.

Oh, and in that last line? You mispelled “until” as “on”. Try to work on that.

Bump. So, how about those first place Steelers?
