They’re tied with Baltimore at 2-3 right now, but Tommy Maddox is leading them down the field now, not fragile, sensitive, wussboy Kordell Stewart. Yes, the division is awful, but the Stillers are the one shining hope, the torchbearers, the saviors of the AFC North: nay, I dare say of the entire AFC, now that we have a quarterback that’s not a headcase.
So, it’s on to the Playoffs, whereupon we commence the Massacre at Heinz Field, the utter demolition of whomever dares to step into our house, and then the Super Bowl, where we just plain dismantle any team the sissy NFC can throw at us.
Folks, the way I see it, the road to the Super Bowl still goes through Pittsburgh. Now’s the time to get on the bandwagon.
Here We Go Stillers, Here We Go!
Here We Go Stillers, Here We Go!
Here We Go Stillers, Here We Go!
Here We Go Stillers, Here We Go!
I have been a supporter of Kordell for many years, saying that he would need a while to grow into his potential. But I confess that I have finally given up on him and am glad that Maddox is in. Go Steelers.
I’m happy to see the Steelers begin to climb out of the hole. Two wins and a very close loss to a fantastic team in NO has me optimistic, but I really can’t ignore the fact that the rout of yesterday came against the Bungles.
I’m never off the bandwagon and would continue to cheer on my Steelers even through an 0-16 season, but talking about a Super Bowl victory is a bit premature right now. Let’s hope that Maddox continues his impressive play, and that the D can stop a good offense as well as an inept one.
Hey, it may have been against the hapless Bungles, but you know what? A win is a win, and if the Steelers gain some confidence headed home against Indy next week because of it, that’s even better.
Indy’s gonna lose big, now that Plaxico feels like he’s a part of things, the Bus finally realized he can still run, and the defense figured out how to play again.
Sometimes beating up a bottom feeder is just what the doctor ordered.
Cowher power, to get the job done.
This year we’ll get than one for the thumb.
Though he lives in Northern Virginia now, Mr. Moto is a Pitt alum and a Mon Valley native. He bleeds black and gold.
Mr. Moto, when did you graduate? I’m just curious since I’ve got a B.A. in Japanese from Pitt. I was helping friends get ready to sell their house yesterday, so I didn’t get to see the game, but I’ll be with the Steelers until the end.
By the way, I’m still trying to get a Burgh Dope/Potluck together one weekend.
I was on track to graduate in 1992, but I ran out of money and ran off to join the Navy. Five years and fifteen countries later, I finally started taking classes at George Mason. Pitt let me transfer the credits back to them, so I am a Pitt alumnus.
B.A., Political Science, Class of 2000.
I was born in McKeesport, grew up in the Finleyville area. Mom and Dad live in Clairton now.
I’m back in the 'Burgh pretty often, but Mrs. Moto and I aren’t traveling at all until the Moto twins are born. I’ll just catch the games at my local Steeler bar - lucky for me, I have a couple to choose from.
Not to discourage one of our fine fighting men such as yourself, Airman Doors, but I’m bothered by your use of the phrase “still goes through Pittsburgh.” Granted, the road to the division championship of the AFC North is wide open (btw, my money is on Cleveland St. Ignatius High School, which to my eye looks to have a better squad than any of the 4 NFL clubs actually in the AFC North), however, the road to the 'Supe hasn’t gone through Pittsburgh in quite some time. Seven and nine could take that sorry division.
After that 28-10 spanking of the 4-1, oops, meant 4-2 Colts, I restate my claim. The Stillers are on their way back to the top, and they’re the team to beat now that they figured out how to stop the pass they were burned on so badly earlier this year.
Now it’s on to Baltimore, where we hand the Middle Murderer Ray Lewis and the rest of the Baltimore defense their asses. And since their offense sucks anyway, the defense won’t hardly even have to get their uniforms dirty.
You know what Dave? Fuck you. I am so sick of your goddamn parrotting “Ray Lewis is a Murderer, Ray Lewis is a Murderer…”
The man plead to what he was guilty of, poor judgemet by obstructing justice, lying for his friend. THREE FUCKING YEARS LATER, all you cocksucking Shittsburgh fans can do is repeat the same tired phrases over and over, and it’s beyond old, nevermind the fact that it’s not even true.
Wow. And I thought talking a little smack before the game about a team that I loathe would just get some more sent my way.
I see now that you take this little rivalry quite personally. So be it. I may as well get in the stolen team jibe too, then, since I’m gonna have to bite you anyway.
So, are we gonna make this personal, or are we gonna be two guys just being guys? I’d prefer the latter, but if you wanna go at it, you know where I’m at.
