People posting in this forum have said that they know their ballot was received. I searched the Champaign County, IL website, but couldn’t find any such information. I mailed my ballot 11 days ago.
I can’t answer for Champaign County but my registrar here in Maricopa sends a text and/or email when my ballot is mailed out, another when it is received, and yet again when the signature has been verified.
I would say you need to make a phone call.
I’m sure it’s entirely dependent on your state and county’s level of service. I vote in Washington State and the county website displays this front and center when I log into my voter information page.
Depressing that this shouldn’t be available for everyone.
Agreed. Possibly withheld in jurisdictions where the folks in charge don’t agree with mail-in ballots but have to accommodate them anyway. These notifications certainly increase my comfort level with mail-in voting.
Dang, I need to get on that this week. So many contentious races, so many ballot measures.
Pretty much the same here in CA.
I also have a state website i can look at that tells me:
Ballet requested
Ballot mailed
Ballot received
Ballot accepted for counting
The last two dates have always been the same. This year both happened the day i dropped it in the town drop box.
