How can I see my naughty activity? (Warnings, mod notes, etc)

Is there some way that I can see where I have been mod noted and/or warned in my history on this board?

For warnings on discourse, if you have any, there is a counter at the top of your profile page. You should be able to click it for specifics.

For warnings before discourse, we have a record of them, but no simple access available to users.

We don’t track modnotes.

For some search hints see this thread: Max_S has a very useful one.

A counter specifically for warnings?

Yeah, I don’t see anything like that either. And I’m pretty sure my Warning for explaining that sex is nonbinary in a trans related thread happened under Discourse. I see no way to check my infractions.

@What_Exit: are you sure that’s not just a mod feature, to let you quickly see if a user has prior infractions?

Mighty Mouse could be naughty? I am so disillusioned.

It happens all the time to superheroes. They get older and jaded and think the rules don’t apply to them anymore. Naughtiness ensues.

Count me in on not seeing that. Could be because I’m pretty sure I’ve never had a mod note, much less a warning. mordecaiB is a good boy.

I thought of using the heading “How can I see my naughty bits?” but I thought that would be too risque for ATMB.

Not seeing it. Is it possible this is a “Mod Only” feature?

There have been whispers about a “private party” with Underdog and Sweet Polly Purebred, which I consider to be baseless scandal.

I’m not seeing it on my page either, and I was warned recently.

Looks like it is. I signed in using a test account that doesn’t have mod privileges and it wasn’t there.

Warnings on Discourse are a private message, so they’ll show up in your Messages under Notifications and also under Messages. Our test account is used to train moderators and therefore has received a LOT of warnings. I didn’t see any place where they showed up other than under the Messages section.

“Here I come, to &@%* the #@(!”

Sorry about the misinformation. Seems weird the general users can’t see their warnings.

Posters could see warnings on VBulletin, right? I seem to recall a few conversations about that, tho I never had a warning there. How times have changed for me. I blame Discourse.

I saw a discussion that suggests users might be able to see a list of their warnings by appending /warnings to the end of the URL for your messages (i.e., https://boards.straightdope.com/u/username/messages/warnings with “username” replaced with your actual name.

I can’t tell if that was part of the core code or something custom that user added. Maybe someone with a Discourse warning can test it out.

Works for me. Shows the warning PM.
Nice catch!

ETA: if you try somebody else’s name, you’ll get an Access Denied message. After the briefest glimpse of something that says Index.

This is what comes up on mine and I know I’ve picked up a couple of warnings.

You don’t have any messages

Need to have a direct personal conversation with someone, outside the normal conversational flow? Message them by selecting their avatar and using the message button.

If you need help, you can message a staff member.

Worked for me. Are you sure you got your Warning(s) (not Modnotes) on the new board?

I thought so. Can you say what you see? For instance, if I just go in to look at my messages, I get a list of all of them from latest to first.

Under the warning URL all I get is what I posted above. Does yours show a list from latest to first? Do you have enough warnings for a list?

I just checked, you have no warnings on the new board. Maybe you mistook a modnote for a warning.
