How come I have never seen.....and pink shirts on guys.

I have never seen two guys on a motorcycle. Why don’t gay couples ride together? Straight couples often do, yet I have never seen two (presumedly) gay guys on a cycle together. What gives.

A three person relationship where they share each other, the bedroom, the house and each have a successful career. Probably not a marriage linked threesome since that’s illegal, but more of a casual type romantic relationship where they share everything, hang out together and sleep together. I think this would probably only work with a gay threesome where the concept of pregnancy is out of the question. Or, not. Who knows? The thought occurred to me in the shower this morning when I was thinking how nice it would be to have the wife working and have two incomes. Then I thought, “What if there was a third person?, but not an offspring, somone with a career that would acually contribute NOW, like another female, cause I could certainly use one in the shower right now, cause it’s too early to wake up the wife, and another income would certainly be helpful…”

Another thought;
When did it become OK for guys to wear pink shirts? I’ve seen a number of them recently 'course I’m in the MidWest and we’re usually a little behind in the fashion world. And when we do catch up we’re often very confused about what actually went over well in the rest of the country, so we end up screwing everything up. I suspect the pink shirt is an example of this.

I recently got dragged along to a social mixer event for young Jewish professionals, and several guys there were wearing pink shirts. I have heard this is kind of a hip thing for yuppies and metrosexuals, but I had never seen it in person until then. It must have been 5 or 6 guys in pink shirts out of 20 in all!

In 4th grade, (1984, it would have been, and in the Midwest, no less) this kid named Jason began wearing a pink polo shirt. Being the enlightened young persons we were, we thought this was very brave and progressive of him, but it could very easily have gone the other way if the intellectual climate in the classroom had been different.

These are some tough mofos that wear pink.

My mother had some seriously messed-up ideas of what clothes I was going to wear to school. In 1969, she got me a pink dress shirt. I protested and cried and got spanked and had to wear it anyway. And then I got beat up at school. I never wore it again.

They’re out there, believe me! I personally know three long-term triads and one quad.

My best friend is involved in exactly this type of relationship, and it has all the benefits you might imagine. Someone’s always around to keep an eye on the kids and make dinner, yet they all have satisfying careers. On the weekends, there’s two manly men to share the heavy lifting of household improvement. One of the he’s is a website designer, the other’s a lawyer, and she’s a chiropractor. Two kids, both genetically linked to the same two of them.

And to answer the question everyone wants to ask but won’t: web designer shares her bed during the week, when lawyer is working long hours, and lawyer shares her bed on weekends - generally speaking. It’s all up for negotiation.

My dad and his wife share the household (and have sexual relationships) with another married couple, but most of them are retired now. But that’s a four-person relationship, so doesn’t quite meet your criteria.

You haven’t been looking that hard then.

What makes you think that two guys on a motorcycle are presumably gay? Do you presume the same about two guys in a car? Two guys anywhere?

I’ve never seen two guys on a cycle, ever. If I did see it my first thought would be, “Oh, they’re probably a couple”. No big deal, just never seen it yet.
This must be part of the (straight) guy code -** Do not ride motorcycles together.**

Maybe the driver’s t-shirt says, “If you can read this, the buttboy fell off”?

Yes they are.

Two guys on a motorcycle? I guess you’ve never been to Ft. Lauderdale, Key West or San Francisco? I’ve seen two guys on motorcycles in all these cities…well in Key West it was a moped, but that still counts doesn’t it?

Questions on polyamorous relationships I’m no good at. I have enough trouble managing my two person relationship, it would drive me nuts with 3 people, but I am not against them. If it works for you, more power to you.

And as for the pink shirt? Why does someone somewhere have to say it’s OK? Why not just wear what you feel like and fuck fashion? So little time so many rules…

Somebody needs a hug…

I dunno, pink just seems so Barbie. Brouse the toy aisle at the local store and you’ll see almost everything that is marketed to girls has some pink on/in it.
Nothing marketed to boys has pik in/on it. Don’t know why, I kind of like pink, for reasons not having to do with toys.

Why not indeed!

And when it comes to the two-blokes-on-a-motorbike thing, I’m sure I’ve seen many - how about in the film ‘Easy Rider’? Jack Nicholson doesn’t have a problem with it there…

Is there really that strong a taboo against guys wearing pink shirts in (parts of) the US? In the UK it just seems like one of those colours that comes and goes with the fashion. One of my favourite shirts of all time was pink.

Come to think of it, I’ve ridden pillion a few times as well. Maybe I’m gay and nobody thought to tell me?

I’ve seen guys in pink golf shirts, button downs etc at least since the '80’s.

It’s a color-not a declaration of gender.

True, most little girl stuff is either pink or purple, but most little girl stuff is horrid, anyway. They like sparkly stuff etc.

Now, if you had seen purple sparkle nail polish on a guy…then I would doubt it’s a trend.

Some guys look really hot in pink-especially in the summer, when they have a touch of tan. You need to be groomed to wear pink-the Bluto look isn’t gonna do it. “people of color” look great in pink (that I have seen, anyway) --and the ones from Ghana and Nigeria that I know aren’t hung up on the girl=pink/boy-blue stuff.

Take a risk! think pink!

I’ve ridden “bitch” once.

I also like pink shirts on guys even though I’ve never worn one. Our local woman’s bicycle racing team has pink jerseys. I like them better than ours.

I’ve got a couple of pink dress shirts, a pink polo-style shirt, and a pink cashmere sweater. I get compliments whenever I wear them. Not “Damn, you must be confident in your masculinity to wear pink,” but rather, “You look good in that color.” So, I wear pink because I look good in it.

My shirt isn’t pink…it’s salmon!

No, sorry, it doesn’t.
